Question for semi tank : Agro Combo VS Guardian

I got a combo, like below..
Reflex > Warcry > Shield break

I was thinking on using above combo to gain more Agro from boss instead of using guardian.

I know guardian is nice, with guard rate boost + team damage reduce + AMPR + Auto Agro generate.....but nowadays people don’t like to stand within the guardian coverage and like to spam skill outside....So was thinking is it a must for guardian on a semi tank? Is it possible just use above combo and Pdef to steal Agro?

 

I don't think its that necessary even for a full-tank. Warcry spam is really effective, adding p.def on top of that, unless your party member is a 2h warcry/meteor spammer you'll be fine with the aggro

 

Guardian isnt necessary if theres no 2h/katana in party.
However that combo is no good, I would recommend to rather use berserk as an aggro generator than reflex. A good combo for berserk would be:
Holy fist > berserk(save) > war cry(swift) > pdef(smite)
Its short, 1mp yet with high aggro. Always add pdef to your combo as non starter, if you manage to get hit by multiple enemies at once it will guaranteed proc without you needing to time.

 

Since you are semi tank, It will be good to go for binding strike, since shield refinement does reflect the damage of binding strike. So a combo may go like this: Assault Attack>War Cry(save)>Binding Strike(Smite)>Trigger slash(swift/cons)

 

Binding strike does not get affected by shield refine in anyway. Why are you reviving old resolved threads anyway?

Its quite a late reply though yea. But 1h+shield binding strike, isnt shield's damage affected by refinement?
