Questions about the Sakura event quest?

Hey guys, I have a few questions that may have already been answered but I haven't been able to find,
I was wondering that when you finish the easy mode of the Sakura event quest and beat the boss, how do you start the normal and hard modes? Do you just go beat the bosses and report back and that's how it's started or is there something I'm missing?

Also, I know it's 100 Sakura gems for each item but do I need other things as well?

And I saw someone mention using dye as well, is that nessessary to create the kimono and wings and Sakura staff?

Sorry if it's stuff that's common knowledge that I'm asking about but I'm pretty new to the game and haven't been able to find the answers I was looking for. Thanks for taking the time to read this and helping me find my answers^-^

If you want to choose a different difficulty level, then just go to the portal again. To make the potions, you only need gems. But with the armor and weapons, you'll need Sakura gems, broken Sakura fragments , and Sakura branches plus metal, wood, or medicine materials. Viscum also drops some event-limited dyes

The only problem is that I've tried going back to the portal but there's no change. Is there a level requirement for the hard quest?

 

I was thinking this was the issue too, but I completed the easy quest. Do you think it's because I haven't progressed enough in the main questline? I haven't finished demon gate in chapter too yet

 

ah yes you need to Fight Boss Roga as one of the bosses in hard mode. You have to pass demon gate for that.

 

Oh my gosh! That definitely it! I'm on that quest now but I keep dying. So I just need to find a party to do it with and once I pass, then the event hard quest should open up right?!

 

Yes.. After Demon Gate, Roga is the next boss inside Saham underground. You can ask your guildmates to help you out.
