Questions about Toy Hammer

Hello! I'm a level 57 with tanking aspirations. I just farmed and got the Toy hammer, which seems to be the Tank 1h of choice. As I understand it, it makes me crit every hit. But decreases crit damage by %150.

Since I am a low level, is there a way to stat to make the Toy hammer useful for killing normal mobs for levelling? Like increasing str (I believe that adds crit damage?)? Or should I stick to to my level fang? Currently, my stats are 70 vit and 74ish Dex.

Also, does damage not get taken into account with gaining agro?

1. 5 STR gives you +1 critical damage, so 255 STR would give you 51 critical damage, but that would hinder your tanking abilities since you can't spend as many points on VIT. You could still give it a try if you wanted to.

2. The aggro you generate is equal to how much MP the skills you use cost, though there are some exceptions with skills like provoke, rage sword, and binding strike. Auto attacks also generate aggro despite not costing any MP, but the aggro they generate isn't nearly enough.

 

Toy hammer for pt when you only focus on tanking, and stopping boss AOEs with flinch or stun (you don't want to miss for these key interrupts!).
For solo, switch to another sword so that you can do some real damage.
