questions regarding snipe and debunking myths..

so after hearing so much amazeballz things about snipe from people IG, I decided to to farm some nuts and get my archer from lvl68 to 70- finally getting it I could only level it to lvl6 tho, but I was still excited to try it out. so I try on forestia, I hit about 27k which is kinda low I felt considering I heard @mak0i hiting 100k.
same story on Warmonger an g knight hitting 20k sometimes 11k;_;. only rare occasions have I hit over 30k.
my questions ,puzzles:
• is their a big difference in damage between lvl6-10?
• I also heard long range mastery affects it?
•and that yu have to hit the boss a few times till ur auto damage is low to max hit high snipe damage.?
• does elemental damage have huge affect on snipes output?
yeah I really Dont know lol I need help or advice.

The level of snipe only affects its casting time.

 

• BIG difference from Snipe Lv6 to Lv10. I don't think it only affects cast time. On my original character my SP only let me have Snipe at 7 and was stuck at 20k hits, then I remade the char and now doing 40~60k hits with Snipe at 10 and the same noob equipment.

• Long range mastery affects any shot which range is +8mts. being normal attack or skill, but doesn't boost too much to be worth spending the points on it.

• If you are using bowgun don't bother on elemental weaknesses, focus on the crit of your weapon and sub-weapon, like your storm dagger. (Personally I use magic device to recharge faster, 3.8 secs while with dagger around 5.8, being able to do 3~4 snipes in a battle is better than doing 2~3 because of lost time even if they hit a bit higher.)

• Battle skills are currently a waste. Assigning 20 SP for maximizing Critical passive skill only increases your critical rate by 5. You get better CRT from a single piece of player-smithed equipment.

and have u tested your new build on warmonger an gigant knight? and if yes, what snipe damage have u seen so far?

I made the comparisons with Forestia and Ganglef. Haven't gone to WM since long time ago. Obviously when I had Snipe Lv7 (almost 2 seconds of cast time) I was being outdps'd by the other gunner because he casted the skill a lot faster than me (in 0.8 seconds).

Only the necessary, Moeba at 10, Bullseye at 5 just to unlock Snipe (with Lv10) and Arrow Rain at 10 to be able to level up decently in parties. No Para. shot. (now with snipe, it is unnecessary) Just what's needed to make my way to Quick Draw which works like 15% of the time but ANY chance to recover extra MP is worth it. HP Boost so D. Gate or any other boss/mini-boss don't finish me with 1 hit K.O. The MP buffs, a Must. My main combo: Moeba > Snipe (smite) > MP Recharge (swift)
* MP Recharge is at Lv10 (faster charge and more mana through the battle = more snipes done)

Crit Gear is key.

 

I am having the same problem and I am not sure why, I am lvl70 have lvl10 snipe full Dex and it's just not doing as much damage as I am hearing about. Does the high damage rely on having crit gear?

ok thanx i see, so player crafted high crit & dex% arm and bg is a must for high snipe damage , and at lvl 10 yu saw atkeast a 20k improvement in snipe. ill shall be doing some reworking tonight . thank yu for yur time an help!

 

I just out dps a lvl 70 mage with my lvl29 archer (2 snipes) on minotaur. I took 98% dmg.
He called me the most OP lvl 29 ever

 

When u fight warmonger. Change ur Sub to Fire Arrow. Let's see how much different snipe when crit.

Agreed! Elemental arrow is still the best for bow gun users, regardless of what the game suggests.

 

Arrow give additional stability too.

And is Crit Rate UP really not worth it?

 

CritUp passive from bttle skills gives crit & cdmge so its a must have if you really want to hit high dmge.

U are lucky they have big heart, my friend didtn't that lucky, her party accused her as cheater becoz of that and threaten her that they would report her. (-_-')shame on them. They can learn from her if they have big heart. I think that they just can't believe that they someone with lower lvl than them can do better.

 

Exactly that happened to me 2 days ago, but in the opposite situation, me as a mage lv16 and the guy who party me was gunner lv63. We were against flare volg and I got attacker reward. He was calling me a cheater and that "this makes no sense" and stuff... I was just using element to my benefit (using water) and smited storm combo. He kicked me after the third run. I couldn't get to lv25 to exchange the nuts (that's why I went to volg). xD
