With the recent revelation that you can get +5000Atk +5000Matk on a pet just by taming 5,000 pets and making them all cannibalize each other, some have asked me for a quick guide on how to tame pets as quickly as possible. So, here goes nothing. A guide on how to tame 1 pet every 40 seconds.

To my knowledge, you cannot tame monster below your own tamer's max level. So that's your first restriction.

Also, different tamers usually tame for different things:
    > Farm event-exclusive monsters
    > Sell them either immediately or hold onto them for a few months so that the price goes up
    > Charge more for pets with
Perfect stats are stats perfect for dps build. Maximum survivability and maximum stat efficiency.
Nature: Steady, Justice, Sly, or Sturdy
    Weapon:
Bowgun is the only weapon that gives you +4Atk per DEX.
Bow will give +3Atk per DEX
2HS will give +3Atk per STR
Staff will give +3Atk per STR
Everything else is complete garbage for an Atk pet.
    Staff gives +4MAtk per INT
Magic Device gives +4MAtk per INT
    Knuckles give +4MAtk per INT
Everything else (yes, everything) gives +3MAtk per INT
Type: Physical Attack for STR, Accurate for DEX, Magic Attack for INT
If you're just looking to tame a gajillion pets to take to the slaughterhouse, just pick whichever pets you can tame the fastest without taking much damage. Put on a crappy weapon, Lil Devil Garb, and Shield of Navida, together for +2,000 Atk Spd on your character. This will make it easy to chip away at a pet's HP without too much risk of killing it.
If you're looking to tame a ton of pets to slaughter, but also want to make decent money, then do just that. Find a pet that's valuable, that doesn't deal too much damage, and that can possibly sell for a lot. Purple Planet Head, for example, doesn't deal much damage, is a low enough level for my tamer to tame, and I once sold one with perfect stats for 53,273 spina. It's also valuable for the its purple and blue dyes~ But yeah... Just find a [potentially] valuable pet that can't deal much damage to you, if you want a bit of both benefits~
The lower the monster's HP, the faster you can tame it. The tame speed appears to be 1-%HP. So if a pet has 100% HP, then it'll tame at 0% max speed. If a pet only has 20% HP, then it'll tame at about 80% max speed.
    1. Make sure you have a cage and 300MP
    2. The "Careful Capture" and "Careful Technique" passive skills will raise tamed pets' max levels by as much as 10, and it will give them extra stats as well. This will make pets more valuable if you're taming for spina.
If you remain targeted on the monster you're trying to tame, it'll become angry and the taming speed will slow down, before eventually coming to a standstill. This was intentional, but you can get around it by attacking another enemy :3
This is to make the best use of your time. If your next monster's HP is already low by the time your first monster is finished being tamed, then you can cast Tame back to back and be taming pets non-stop.
If you keep attacking the same monster for too long, it may die. If you go on to too many other monsters at once, you could end up getting attacked by 20 monsters at once. Some people actually like to do this, though. They like to get about 20 monsters down to low HP, tank all the hits, and then just cast Tame once every 40 seconds to let the skill do its magic. This would give you 40 second breaks per tame to do whatever else you want to do IRL... Or, if you can't tank very well, just run so that you aren't attacking your next victim*Cough* New Best Friend d(^_^o)
    Step 7: Repeat steps 3-6

If you find a monster that you and your merc can kill in about 1 minute with auto attacks alone, you should be able to hit a monster down to only low HP by the time another monster is tamed.
    > Hire a merc that takes aggro
    > Get one monster down to low HP
    > Cast Tame
    > Target another monster
    > Afk for 40sec while one monster is tamed and the other is taken down to low HP
    > Cast Tame
    > Target another monster
    > Afk for 40sec while one monster is tamed and the other is taken down to low HP

Personally, while I'm afking while taming, I think to build Pet Cages on another account

To make a OP Pico, I just need to feed each Pico to its brethren? This feels like that movie "The One" where one Jet Li kills every other versions of himself in parallel dimensions. XD

Question, does my LUK mage could be a tamer too?
It's actually a BS LLUK mage, I'm wondering if it's possible to get tamer skill for her as I only got Finale, Storm, Maximizer, then Refiner skills on blacksmith skill tree. so I got a lot of sp that could spare to other skills too.

    Awaiting for your response.

Anybody have a pet can use/summon their pet at regular map. Keeping them alive is another story tho. Then again, all you need is pet heal and/or not(if you just want the pet to be alive) pet mp charge for your pet to do skills that you have trained it to. Owning and using pets does not require any stats. But it does have some perks if you are using bows or staves. Like hp heal bonus and cast time reduction.
Before you dive in the world of pet ownership it is advised to read what little info that most of us have shared since the pet system vast beyond explanation and some features havent been open so far.

Just be forewarned: pets is the biggest time sink here in toram! Just ask any tamer/pet summoner you come across. For me, it is full of fun to have pets. Hope it have the same effect on you.

i've read in another guide that pet's mp are ineffectiv, which mean pet would be always full mp...
as we cannot see pet's mp level, this seems probably right, dont you think?

Nope. Pets have a base mana pool of 1k unless your pet have that mp passive skill that makes the mana pool bigger. You can observe your pet's actions and skills done by your pet. Mostly they do normal attack-skill 1-normal attack-skill2. And it loops as long as the target is still alive. If pets stops doing skills and just attack normally it is an indication that it does not have enuf mana for the next skill. It will continue to do so until their ampr fill up the mp needed for the next skill or you casted pet mp regen.
