rampage on tank

is it necessary to get rampage for a tank?

 

Not really. The AMPR boost is nice, however you'll have a longer auto atk animation, and the final blows could prevent you from moving away out of AOEs or using P. Def on time.

Also sets def and mdef to 0 but who cares about those stats?

 

is it reduce the flat damage of physical and magic damage?

 

Mdef and Def is just a decor.
The ones that really impact dmg gained is Phys and mag res.

 

everyone takes def and m.def for granted nowadays 250 def/m.def reduces 20% dmg... After that its effect is reduced 1050 def/m.def reduces 28% dmg (e.g with gloria buff)

So most would bump their def/m.def to 250, its like having free 20% resistance

Rampage gives you 25 ampr and produces a lot of aggro... But ending animation is a bit long and can sometimes be deadly and of course reduces def and m.def to 0

It depends on wich of this your tank would need more...

 

Lol everyone took what Mayam said at face value when he kept saying that def and mdef "doesn't matter". And forgot the part about IT DOES MATTER until around 250 def and mdef, which is very easy to get from currrent equips and stats, having 250 def and mdef gives physical and magic resistance, but increasing it more than that is what "doesn't matter".....at least according to what they said
