Refining Destroys Weapon?

    i have a full lv 108 full TEC rest VIT chara. was refining a boss dropped "Clarity Rose" with Only Mithril ore till +7 smoothly. Then i tried doing +8 ( guide said don't use anything else till +E ) and i lost my weapon in the process. Is that possible?

    If you use Magic Hammer, it will destroy your equipment if it fails.

    Magic hammer does come with ‘ur equipment will be lost if ..’ ..that should be the first sign to run away from it xD
