Hello. I'm a returning player, however my characters seem to have been yeeted into the void. I am not too attached to my old characters, so it's not that big a deal, but I am restarting from scratch, and Idr much from my last playthru (2019 or something... I remember participating in the Re:Zero event, but I first played when Triple Kick was brawler's main damage skill).

So I was thinking of making my 3rd character my main. I've always loved knux. It was the first 'class' I created and I fell in love with it. I was wondering if there's anything I could follow for my ideal knux. Please take note that I am somewhat of a casual player, so I prolly won't be aiming for 2s equipment (except maybe that cheap 2s spec).

    1) has to be a semi tank. Something like AGI > STR/DEX > VIT works. I remember using a skill that nullifies damage and heals me, and I loved using that. My toon before was someone that can do aight damage, and be the spare tank when the main tank is down.

    2) has to have high ASPD and decent AMPR. I love looking at my toon punching the hecc out of everything, and watching my MP go up with every hit.

    3) has to have some interruption skills. I know a lot of enemies are allergic to interruptions like flinch and tumble, but I do love being a breaker more than an attacker.

I have also been reading threads here and there, and I have a couple questions:

    A) are Rush and Chariot still viable? Are there any new skills I should be looking at to be my main damage skill? I've been seeing Goliath in places and it seems to do great damage. I read Coryn Club's Crusher skills, but Idk how it mixes with the old brawler class.

    B) Is it possible to use Chariot, Rush, and Goliath in one character? Or does that take too many skill points? Maybe having 3 main damage skills is a waste? Although I do remember using Rush mostly for the motion speed buff.

Anyway, I've been playing for 4 days now. I have a Lv72 HB LUK, and Lv1 TEC char for alchemy/statting/refining (and I think this one can also tame?). My eq are mostly mob drops, but they'll serve me well for a while, I think. I also have decent merc friends, so I can prolly farm most mobs if I need their weapon or something.

    I'd really appreciate any replies!

3rd tier Knight Skill 'Perfect Defense', requires you to equip a shield.

for everything else, let's try this:
    kuchiyose no jutsu! *poof*

Thank you for making this! I have a few questions, as I've already forgotten most of these .

    1) I noticed that Chariot isn't in the build. Is iy not good anymore? Will my main damage skill be Rush from now on?

    2) I'm new to crusher skills, and I'm not really sure how Breathwork works. Seems to be a heal skill that also halves the MPC of the next skill, but what does resilience decline mean? Also, Annihilator seems to decrease ailment chance. Won't that be bad?

    3) I noticed that both Shield Bash and Shield Cannon are maxed. Isn't it redundant to have two stun skills considering how long stun cd is? And for the purpose of stunning, wouldn't Bash Lv6 be enough?

    4) I seem to remember Kick not being that useful, but has that changed? I saw that it's Lv10.

    5) I'm worried about proration in the combos. There seems to be an abundance of physical skills and no magic to help with it. Has proration rules changed recently?

This guy tried making a barehand dps, basically just like a tank but can do dmg, see if you're interested:

A good thing about it is that you don't need any weapon, so you can save lots of spina lol

    1. Chariot > Rush, but later is spammable, especially due to the momentarily motion speed buff to comes with it.

    2. Annihilator would be your done with breaking / interrupt mode. Resilience decline is just the lowered rate of healing when you use breathwork too early.

    3. The build he gave you us just a guide, ofc you can customize it so you can own it. Bash lv6 is not yet 100% stun rate, he prolly suggested a lvl10 Bash for that sure stun 100mp opener.

    4. Again, he just gave you a guide, no need to follow by the book. He prolly think that at times you need to create a 7m distance from your foe, to give way to your buffs, heal, or when setting up something.

    5. Same old proration, that's where your auto attack comes in.

    ^_^

Thank you for the suggestion! Atm I don't really feel like 'broadening my horizon' u.u I want to focus on my 3 characters first, then expand. I actually remember not understanding barehanded that much when it came out  and that's probably affecting my decisions, but I promise I'll give it a shot one day

    1. I see :D I do love both skills and I remember using em a lot depending on the situation. I'm glad they're still viable.

    2. It says tho that Annihilator lasts for 10 mins, which means it's probably gonna last a few rounds of farming. Is there a way to remove Annihilator for when I need to interrupt again? Also on Breathwork, how long does it take before resilience decline wears off?

    3. Ah, I'm sorry for being unclear ><. I was referring to Bash, the knuckle skill, not Shield Bash, in which case, Lv6 is enough and a good amount of AGI to have 100% stun rate. I guess the downside is that it's slow, but I'll save 20 points so I think I'll do it this way!

    4) I see I see . If I have any spare points, I might invest on Kick, but atm I don't see its use yet u.u (I might regret it later tho )

    5) that's good to hear. I didn't wanna relearn proration if it had any rule changes

    Thank you so much! Your reply helped a lot :D I'm finally starting to see a potential build I'll like ;-;

    2. If you're farming mobs / mini boss that is, if its a regular boss then you have to recast it every start of the fight. Annihilator gets removed when 10min counter in over, if you die during battle or if you finish the regular boss battle. 30sec for resilience decline wears off.

    3. He's prolly giving you an option to chose between the 2 skills. Shield cannon advantage is the range plus the damage since you'll be using VIT stat. By using bash, you only save sp for a slow short range stub skill with mediocre damage.

    4. You won't regret it. Just consider his kick suggestion as a way to fool around in game.

    2) Oh, I see! I just have to change things up when I farm mini bosses. Thank you!

    3) hmmm that is true. There's quite a few things to consider, huh? I'll mull it over

    4) well if you put it that way xD

I'm so sorry! I was busy in college work so I couldn't reply to you!
    1. Rush and Chariot at 300 AGI have nearly equal multipliers, and Rush has lower cost plus more spam potential.
      1. Also I ran out of skill points. You can add if you want in place of Rush. You wanted speed, I optimized your build for speed.
      2. Speed, for me, starts at 5000 ASPD. If you don't want that much ASPD, you don't want speed, you just want quickness.
    2. Annihilator is purely for Breathworks boost. It boots its heal and also gives the MP halving benefit. You never need to activate it.
    3. I have Shield bash because It is sometimes good to have all 100 MP interrupt skills. 200MP can sometimes not be available when you're in an emergency.
      1. Shell break now has 50% Armour chance with the new 'Registlet' thingy. Real nice.
    4. Kick is an interrupt skill, 7m knock back, 3.5 on bosses. It's great to put the boss' attack out of the way of your Finale guy.
    5. Impact is 22 skill points, not worth it in my opinion, but you can try to get it if you have spare skill points.
Bash is slow. Bash sucks. Never use Bash. Just never.
Shield cannon is also your DPS skill.

No rush :D I'm happy to receive any help at all!

    1) I remember having 8k ASPD on my old character, and I think I was around max motion speed, so I do love my ASPD :D. I see why you chose Rush now!

    2) pretty much a 300 MP Impact with heal, I see xD that sounds great

    3) that is true. Sometimes 100 MP is all you got. I'll think about this. (That thing about Shell Break sounds awesome  I need to get that asap!)

    4) ooohhh that's right! Finale exists  yeah, Kick now looks good to me xD

    5) well, if all else fails, I could use the free skill reset thingy :D

Bash is fun to use tho! The *bonk* animation is funny if you think about it xD. Imagine bonking Scrader in the knee and he goes like 'Ah! My knee!' and proceeds to get stunned.

Also, I was not aware that Shield Cannon is a dps skill  I guess that one is for bosses that won't let people get close?

I also use bash for the animation, it can be considered slow but we can utilize it well since most brawlers are relatively fast.

I mentioned that shield cannon has a damage advantage since you're using the VIT stat. Yes, can be use on anti-melee bosses that keeps running away. It's a dps skill you can't spam because it follows the cooldown of stun. ^_^

I wasn't expecting it to do a lot of damage tho, as implied by The Brahmic Boy. Sorry if I didn't realize it when you said it >< is it right to assume that it only does good damage when it stuns?

Yes, it only does good damage when it stuns, thus the cooldown. ^_^

With no STR, you basically begin at a disadvantage here.
So Shield Cannon should be the only Stun skill you use.
Shield Bash is okay for 100 MP, but if you need Skill points you can reallocate.

Yeah, it's nice to have max ASPD, (I have around 9000 with Quick Aura + Giga Speed pot, and Rush puts me over the edge.)

But it really undermines your Damage. If you're not going for damage then you can spend a lot of xtals and gear focused on speed instead of Crit Damage and SRD% like I do.
