    Btw i have 2 questions,
    1. Isnt sanctuary has less aoe using 1h?
    2. If leaving the tempest at lv 1, will it has diff aggro points vs lv 10 tempest?

    1. Sanctuary's aoe range correlates to it's actual level in the support tree. The higher the level, the more range it has.
    2. A skill's aggro is based on the formula of (mp consumption + [skill Lv x 20]).
    - The exception to this is provoke, which is (mp consumption + [skill Lv x 100]).
    - at level 1 tempest, it will do 420 aggro. At level 10 tempest, it will do 600 aggro.

    Hey all,

This is a build that some people have asked about, and I'm posting it now. This is based on Saphos' idea for a true monk support build. However, I have adapted it to be a tank as well.

Stat Distribution: all vit. After max vit, go all int.

Potion buffs used: Mega Speed Potion = +750 atk speed (more mana regen).
    Weapons: Drills and Shield(user's choice)

    Combo: 1mp used
    sonic wave > sanctuary(save) > smash(swift) > bless(swift) > stun shield(swift) > gloria(swift)

This combo must use the interrupt technique to be efficient. Here is a guide on how to do the interrrupt technique after bless.
    http://toramonline.com/index.php?threads/canceling-a-combo-video-guide.10614/

    Magic:
    10/10 mp charge

    Martial:
    10/10 smash
    10/10 sonic wave

    Survival:
    5/10 safe rest
    10/10 hp boost
    1/10 fighter's high
    10/10 short rest
    10/10 sober analysis

    Support:
    10/10 mini heal
    5/10 recovery
    10/10 sanctuary

    Shield:
    5/10 shield mastery
    10/10 shield bash

    Knight:
    10/10 provoke

    Priest:
    5/10 bless
    10/10 gloria

    How to use:
This tank relies more on using provoke than it does on using the combo. The combo should mostly be used to keep up sanctuary and bless effects, but not spammed. Instead, if you have the mp regen skills listed, you're attacks should regenerate 1 full mp bar in 3-4 hits, or 2 hits with ampr gear. I generally choose to use ampr gear, as I have 10k health with ampr gear, or 14k health with hp gear. This is also the reason I use a mega speed potion.

Use the combo interrupt technique to keep your combo's short and quick, only using shield bash and gloria when the stun cooldown is off. You'll know that you can stun the monster again once the buff from gloria fades (it acts as an in-game timer this way).

Mp charge is used more an emergency measure for mp if you need to, but there is no reason you can't use it if you want to. As an example, I use mp charge all the time when Pillar Golem travels across the field and shoots a laser at me. I simply avoid the laser, and then mp charge while he is walking back up to me.

Yes, knucks as sub will give the same effects as if they were in main. However, you wontbget their stat bonuses in sub.

    question again about sanctuary.
so as long as we stand in circle, all dmg will be reduced by max hp %?
what if we don't pump VIT n go with HP gears instead? is sanctuary still viable?

sanctuary reduces damage compared to the damage that the mob would do to you. If your max hp is 10x (or more) the amount of damage the mob would do against you with the attack, it will reduce the damage by around 90%. However, if the damage that the mob can do is more than 10x the damage compared to your hp, it will still damage you decently, most likely at a high amount.

Ssanctuary with hp gears is viable, as you'll get around 8k hp if you max your level, get all the hp skills, and get all the hp gears with hp xstals.

how can I achieve 8k HP without vit? max hp% xtal only increase base hp, doesn't it? with maxed hp boost n both shield hp passives I only get roughly 3k hp, up to 5,7k with sakura kimono (roga) n hero scarf. is 5,7k good enough for sanctuary to reduces damage?
also I saw ur viola tanking guide. is that full vit bowgun tank? r u wearing normal, heavy, or light armor in that?

    thank you

At max lv (90) you will have a rough base of 1.5k hp.

    Relief shield: 300 hp.
    Roga xstal: 1000 hp
    Shield passives: 1000 hp
    Kimono: 700 hp
    Hero Scarf: 1000 hp
    Hp boost: 2000 hp

This equals 7.5k hp roughly, and doesn't even consider this ring you will be using, as well as any hp xstals you can add in.

I'm wearing heavy armor in the video, and that is my dex/vit tank.

5.7k hp is enough to tank most bosses. But minibosses like sg, gk and viola will give you a rough time.

my lv90 only has base 800hp, without vit, hp passives, n gears/xtals. with maxed hp boost it is 1,9k+
I see, so it's vit n heavy armor build after all.
wondering if I can sport sanctuary with full agi build, I guess it's no go then

I see, my base hp calcs were off a lil. Well, that's still about 7k hp, which is fine.

Sanctuary with 7k hp is fine as well, if you wanna go full agi. But I'd say it stops the purpose of sanctuary, since you won't be getting hit often, if at all, except maybe against bosses with a high hit stat.

I'm just trying to have another failsafe in case dodge/evasion fails, my only concern is bosses' normal atks n fractional hits... which both can be dodged/evaded, but if it connects there's still sanctuary to cuts the dmg. also there is hard smash for lethargy. besides, sanctuary is good for maintaining footings/position in tanking bosses.
also I'm not sure if I'm going to get both shield hp passives, 20sp for only 1k hp n little def/mdef increase (which light armor rendered both as useless anyway) seems a waste for me.

    Hello All!
Here's the newest tank, DW Tank (of course, with the new skills, I had to make one~ lol)

Stat distribution: All vit > dex or int or mentality

    Skill Distribution:

    Sword: 31
    5/10 hard hit
    10/10 Astute
    1/10 Trigger Slash
    5/10 Sonic Blade
    10/10 Spiral Air

    Dual Sword: 27
    5/10 DW mastery
    5/10 twin slash
    5/10 spinning slash
    1/10 Phantom Slash
    5/10 Cross Parry
    5/10 charging slash
    1/10 shadowstep

    Support: 25
    10/10 mini heal
    5/10 recovery
    10/10 sanctuary

    Magic: 1
    1/10 mp charge

    Knight: 10
    10/10 provoke

    Survival: 16
    5/10 safe rest
    10/10 hp boost
    1/10 fighters high
    10/10 quick rest
    10/10 sober analysis

    Combo:
    Astute > Sanctuary(save) > Phantom Slash(swift) > Trigger Slash(save) > Charging Slash > Shadowstep(con)

    Gear:
    1h main = fan
    1h sub = any sword
*choose any other gear you want

This build is quite impressive in terms of avoiding and taking damage. Phantom Slash at the beginning is used because I generally use this combo at the point that a boss is using a red-area skill. The speed of astute>phantom slash is quite fast, and I can dodge any red-area skill usually.

This build somewhat suffers from hit rate, because I have it rely on using crit from astute to hit the most. That means it has a 50% crit rate, and whatever hit rate you have as default. Luckily though, it still hits often enough, and has high ampr to spam more combos for more aggro.

In addition, it's actually able to have nigh-infinite mana because I can recover a bar of mp within the time that my combo finishes, and one extra auto attack right at the end.

    Things to note:
Phantom slash has some decent ending lag, take that into account.
Both Trigger slash and Shadowstep can be switched in position and give different benefits.
    - Trigger slash will increase the speed of the following skill and give an ampr buff until next skill.
    - Shadowstep will increase the crit rate of the following skill and give an ampr buff until next skill.
    * They are both similar, but you should make your choice based on what you want. I chose to have trigger slash before shadowstep because it increases the speed of charging slash, and shadowstep at the end allows astute to have a crit buff, which is very important because I always want astute to hit, for the crit buff it gives as well.
It should also be noted that Shadowstep resets the unsheathe animation, and allows the user to do an unsheathe attack directly after it. I find this useful because the unsheathe attack is faster than a normal dw attack, thus allowing faster ampr gain for 1 auto.

    * I will post a video of it later.
