Rise of darkness

(disclaimer, I’ll be writing this post with the mindset of a dark knight. Anything I say don’t take to heart. It’s just an in character thing. I hope you enjoy my build I’m working on. ^^)

Let’s begin.

How pitiful it is to see thy spineless cowards living day by day with no true power. Following what is popular coming out unscathed by the likes of your own incompetence. Behold the power of the dark knight Azure. Embracer of darkness, where pain is welcomed, and darkness ensues. Do you have what it takes to walk this path? I highly doubt it.

The reasons of thy madness is rather simple, I’m sure thy spineless cowards wouldn’t understand so I will tell you. I was once a knight, shrouded in white. A warrior of the gods, loved by their light. I trained and trained to be the best I could, only to be forsaken by the gods. And embraced by the darkness. Max dex and str would have been an option, but as a knight of darknesss. My own health is a weapon to shred my enemies and send them to the abyss. Therefore, my dex and str is but at 200 and I have 50 vit. If you have a problem with that. Then thou are but an inconceivable existence, AND SHOULD ETERNALLY ROT IN THE ETERNAL DARKNESS.

Tis is what I have so far. I may add magic impact at some point. And I know for a fact that I need quick aura or saber aura for the hp consumption. And for s reason that you spineless weasels can never understand. To be a dark knight means to embrace the darkness. Thus, my main combo will be spamming quick aura, or using saber aura. Getting my hp to 1. Then proceeding to use my dark abyss combo. Which uses demon claw, dark stinger, and bloody bite in that order. Because demon claw does more damage based on the amount of hp you have left. At max hp it only deals 1 damage. But at 1hp deals 50k+ however this is where it gets interesting, and why dark power is underapreciated. Dark stinger attacks the enemy and buffs you, and while that buff is active If you use bloody bite, it consumes the buff but raises the amount that it heals. Regretless on the other hand is my trump card. One has to be able to master this mighty buff and know when and how to
Use it. Because though it fully heals you, increases your ampr, increases your max hp, and buffs all your stats. After the timer runs out, you die and can not struggle or have first aid done on you. So you have to wait to revive.

So again I say, do you have what it takes to walk this path?

 

-assault attack and parry is useless, waste skill points
-why use tempest when you can use buster ?
-afaik saber aura only for dw ?

 

Play Dead is a must when using Regretless, as it is the only skill that will shorten your revive time.

why Rampage lv5? there is no skill after it, so take it to lv10 or leave it.

Parry is quite powerful actually, it's better than guard.

but Decoy Shot is unecessary. you need to be close to use it, but with Spike Dart, Dark Stinger, Sword Tempest and Meteor Breaker, you will mostly attack from a distance.
Rampage + Trigger Slash is just as good and you can speed it up with Berserk.

 

this build kinda beefy and its purpose for soloing boss ?
btw, any purpose for having dagger skills ?
I bet you have protection and aegis star gems lvl 10.

sword tempest has magic proration, you cant spam all phys skills.

 

I remember long ago mayam said parry is useless skill. imo its not worth to spend 15 sp on it, better take aegis/protection

 

long ago people also said that LUK affects all party members

Parry has a 30% chance to reduce physical damage taken by 25%.
it does not stack with Guard, but works against attacks from all directions, not just your target.

of course the resistance buff from Protection/Aegis is more reliable, but you need to cast them in each battle. without a shield they cost 300mp each, even in a 'save' combo it slows you down. and it's a total waste when a shield tank or support character is in the party who uses them as well.

Indeed, but if I’m to use saber, or aura it’s onlt purpose is to drop my hp to 1. I can care less what the buff does. XD it would literally be used to drop my hp.

 

That’s great to hear, the initial use was to have an ampr skill. So if rampage and trigger work just as well, then I may go that route. ^^

 

Heh, the idea is for it to be solo, yes. Cause I highly doubt people would want me in their party. Would you want an individual in your party that drops their own hp to 1 and uses a buff that kills them selves? XD granted regretless is my last resort. As for the gems. I don’t have them. But I might at some point for a bit of tanking capabilities.

 

This is exactly why I picked parry. I don’t use a shield. And parry is better than no defense at all. ^^/ plus it’s a basic knight technique so of course a dark knight would know it.

 

I had forgot to mention the dagger skills. Well, I needed a skill that’s high damage and good for a combo. Come to find out spike dart is very effective at that. Arm my combo is spike dart, hard hit, trigger slash. And sometimes you face a boss that close range won’t work on. Candela is a good example. When he places the spikes your forces to wait it out. Spike dart is to combat it. ^^/ and it’s also for cosmetic look. I feel that a dark knight wouldn’t blues a shield, they would be a dps tank sorta like a gladiator. But uses their own vitality as a weapon, using dark powers

 

Saber Aura wouldn't work then. When your HP is insufficient, the buff will end and it will restore some amount of HP.

 

I see, then quick aura it is. Hp management is a key component of this build. Which is why I need a buff that consumes hp, in conjunction with demon claw dark stinger and bloody bite. *^*

 

Nice, I may swap out tempest for buster but I’m not quite sure yet
