    Just encountered this dude earlier.

Shouting that is a taboo and to have the guts to say it in public, how shameless. I keep grinding materials to stat some basic stats just to earn spina and yet this dude pay real money just to became rich in an instant.

It is an insult tota person like me who do hard work just to earn mula. :( I am furious and sad at the same time. He is really asking for a report.

Eh, It's a game. On top of that, it is a NON competitive game. There is no ranking. No PVP. Nothing that pits you against another fellow player.

I personally have nothing against people that buy spina in this game. Maybe Devs should make the game more rewarding to play.

He’s a filipino. (I understand the name means battalion, im half and half) and the feeling is mutual. Sure its non competitive, but rmt destroys the toram economy, people who actually farm and put effort gets the short end of the stick. And not to mention that if asobimo gets less revenue, they might shut down the game.

But it is more rewarding to earn your equipment and money with effort alone.

Even though people have different views, imo this is quite a let down and RMT was never meant to be allowed in the first place.
having all the great gears in an instant is good but it will cause boredom in the long run and might end up losing interest in the game since it was not your hard earned stuff.

Looking at it, it just seems meh. Specially since what he is also using is roughly the same local currency conveter in buying orbs. So it may be an rmt that is a bit tolerable, in a sense. Not that i promote it tho. What made me curious is how he generate that spina and if is in the fairplay and not just some modded or a product of botting.

    1. How do people who farm and put effort get the short end of the stick? Clarify please. How does it destroy the economy? Clarify as well.

    2. If asobimo is losing revenue because orbs aren't being purchased as often as spina by third party sites, then they need to reevaluate their monetizing strategy. People are more likely to put their money into whatever is most rewarding for them.

On this note, as you said, that 'rewarding feeling' is all subjective. If you're bored because you have all great gears in an instant, then that's your issue, move on, it's a game. Some people just like to see how different combinations of skills/gears work and don't give a care about 'grinding'. Some people just want to sit around in the game as a character that looks a certain way and talk with their friends from all over the world and don't care about grinding.

Spina is easy to make in Toram. With all of the guides and forum resources, you shouldn't be struggling to make money.

As a side note: If Asomibo started selling spina for real money in the game, would you keep playing or stop?

On the surface, they may not be losing money right now, but a few pennies here, a few nickles there, it all adds up. In a span of 2 years they might have had $4M if each account gives them 1$ to 5$ per micro-transactions. But if we take into account for Spina buyers and Spina sellers in the mix, they might actually be missing out on some revenue being diverted elsewhere.

I figured Asobi coins was one of the ways Asobimo thought of resolving this issue, but i don't actually see them directly sell spina either. :V

That's assuming people that buy spina would buy orb if spina buying didn't exist. I believe just a small percentage of that is being diverted though.

Buying spina is not a gamble. Buying orbs is.

Well buying spina is assured money (if u dont get scam) but opening x15 in orbs shop is total gamble and u can get like 100m for 50 bucks pretty good for people who dont have a lot time to play/grind but still wanna be updated.

Gamble or not, RMT is still illegal. We all agreed to the Terms of Service provided by Toram Online. Screenshot_20181012-035941.png 10.4 specifically states that we can not sell anything we own in-game into real currencies. Whether Asobimo loses any money or not, they are within their rights to terminate service to anyone involved in Spina to Money transactions.

1.) Money obviously comes from bots. Less people buying RMT = less bots. Spina to real money ratio is very low now too due to bots. Due to that, "Legit"(LoL) Spina sellers loses against botters too as farming/selling time in relation to real money earned is very inefficient. Not worth it unless you're already very rich.

Also other people are probably demoralized when their peers get ahead of them with no effort. We all know that pay to win is generally hated by MMO players.

2.) We have tuyuls. Buying spina then buying tuyul services is cheaper than directly buying orbs hence why aso is losing money(their fault though, stupid emblems).

    1. "How do people who farm and put effort get the short end of the stick?"
-They farm for hours, days, weeks and maybe even months for their gear. Only to be trumped by a dude who did RMT. They'd lose interest in the game, and quit.
-Moreover, since these people do not have sufficient gear, the toxic culture in Toram will propagate. Why do you ask? People will kick them out of parties, harrass them and this will create a negative atmosphere for new players. Less new players, more people leaving, lower player base. Future updates maybe halted? Game might have a shorter lifespan?

"How does it destroy the economy?"

More spina on the market means prices will either hike or go down. Why do you ask? If spina is readily available for purchase, why would the user care how much an item would be? They'd just buy more spina if they need more. This would encourage sellers (specially the scum of Toram, bottters, tuyuls, etc) to increase the prices on select rare items, and lower the prices of materials. (Why would I need to buy materials for gear, when I could already buy the 2s ones?) and since that would happen, the prices will drop since the mindset of needing to sell is going to be there. This is just one of many things that could happen. I could go on.

    2. "If asobimo is losing revenue because orbs aren't being purchased as often as spina by third party sites, then they need to reevaluate their monetizing strategy. People are more likely to put their money into whatever is most rewarding for them."
Let me ask you this first. How would you make a game fair and fun for everyone and make it free to play? While keeping in mind that you need monetization? Also keeping in mind that not everyone can afford buying items off the cash shop? While also taking care of your player base, keeping them interested and also growing them so that the higher ups will see that this is something worth keeping? Open your mind. Do you think its just Orbs that Asobimo is getting money off of? But this I'll tell you. A game that has a diminishing number on its playerbase does not spell good business.

I am half filipino and half japanese. I will not defend them, since I absolutely agree. It saddens me to see these people who only see short term shiz and really don't care about other people who do things legitimately and try to support the company. What they don't see, is that if they support the company, they would have more resources to produce better quality stuff. (Better servers, betters services, more money to invest in R&D for mechanics and events and such, account protection, etc)

    1. My argument to this is, those players that have the will to grind and get their gear will play regardless of people doing RMT. Players that don't have that mindset will stop playing regardless. I've seen it equally both ways. If making money in this game was difficult, you'd have an argument. It really doesn't take that much effort to amass several mill in this game in a short time to get good gear. I've gone up and down from 0 spina to a bunch. Giving away a ton of gear in the process. There are resources in this forum to learn how to make spina quickly and legitimately.

People that stay interested in this game do so not because someone else does more damage than them, but because they have goals that they themselves want to meet or have a community they enjoy being a part of.

On another note, while I do agree that there is a toxic culture of kicking newer players in this game, that has NOTHING to do with gear and everything to do with the Devs creating certain skills trees that are way more useful and op than other trees. As a knuck user, Even with all my awesome gear and DPS, I still get kicked because people prefer users with FINALE, CF, or Tank. This is irrelevant to my gear because they kick me before I can even outrank them ;)

    2. This requires me to break down their whole game. but I'll give a brief answer if I can

Using their orb system, I would limit purchase types to a few things:

Overall, they need to stop giving away orbs and ava tix like they are worthless. This disincentives people from buying orbs. What it does, is gives incentives for players to log on though. So I see what they are going for.

    1. Cosmetics. Their avatar system is good. I actually like it, and it provides an avenue of gambling x2. Once for the avatar, once for the recycling. I would stop giving away so many free tickets though. As of now, people don't spend too many orbs to buy avas because they hand these things out like free candy.

    2. Sell mats for orbs. not just production mats, but any farmable mat.

    3. Sell surefire 2s pierce as well as gamble for it. Some people will get lucky and gamble. Those that will want to spend money will spend money.
Introduce crafting buffs for a higher chance to create 2 slot gear, whether from NPC or Self Craft.

    4. Keep gems as is. But also introduce a drop timer system. Kill norm ifrid 100 times -> Auto Xta. Kill hard ifrid 80 times? -> Auto xta. Drop rate can still be .1% up to that point. (arbitrary numbers)
RNG is fun... up to a point. It's not rewarding if its pure luck. A good balance of skill, luck, and grind is needed to keep players satisfied.
Add this to all existing low% drop items. Improved numbers for Untradeable items. It's untradeable, it doesn't matter (maybe except for appearances) Really lame when there is an event only item that you grind hours and hours and hours for and not get. And can't get until 1 year later because it's untradeable. Players see that and dont want to play as often.

    5. Modify emblem system. Add a check point to deter bots. Captcha? I do agree in giving orbs to new players to have them play. Obviously the system has been abused, but that's because the checks in place aren't much a deterrent

There's more that I can say but I'm tired.
