Should I quit playing hb?

I've just found out that hb build is super expensive (sth about elemental hbs with +s & 2s?). I have a 150+ lvl hb char (1s, no elements) and now I'm not sure if I should keep playing since I don't think I can afford all that stuff to reach hb full potential ;-;

 

Well if you wanna "reach the full potential".. All builds are gonna need said +S, 2s, elemental weapons. Not just halb. Except tanks, they don't need elemental weapons lol

But really, the most important thing is playstyle. You don't really need those elemental weapons. If you know how to play properly, that's way better than some rich tuyul who doesn't know how to play.

 

It's just that I feel pressured playing one of the strongest weapon (?) in this game.

Yesterday, I tried to get kinaco's photos for my bow n knux chars with a random pt, and I was the one with the lowest lvl (157, the others were sth around 165+). During the fight the other members died, but I couldn't revive anyone and deal any decent dmg as the boss wouldn't leave me alone and I got panic >_<. When two of them came back, it was my turn to kneel down and press "struggle" ;-;. The weird thing here, was that they tried to revive me like crazy instead of fighting, while I wasn't the only one who died there, to the point I had to wonder to myself "Wouldn't it be better to quickly kill the boss or revive those who have higher lvl and better dmg?". They had to know I was the one with lowest lvl because when I saw the lvl of pt members b4 the raid I asked them if my low lvl would be a problem, and they replied "no prob". The raid was long and chaotic but we managed to break the boss and I got the photo ;-;. They disbanded the pt after that though. I have the impression that maybe they thought a low lvl hb with dt would be more useful compared to other weapons. This gives me pressure though, because my usual dmg isn't high (just 1s gears, and I put some sp in vit). I think I got lucky they didn't comment anything about my not-so-great performance even though I played the weapon with high dmg expectations, unlike not long ago a random pt at bg gave me a "wtf" and "your cf don't deal any dmg".

I've decided I'm not gonna delete my hb char, but I'm not sure if I should continue lvling him up or focus on other chars instead.

 

Personally I feel like your just overthinking things way to much, sounds like a usual bad run with random parties anyways. Besides one person shouldn't make or a break a raid boss fight. That said CF and halberd still do decent damage without elements so unless your constantly missing or your mp regen is horrible your dps couldn't of been that bad, ignore them and move on.

 

Don't think about those stuffs. That's not how you enjoy the game. There should be no pressure. Use dropped if you can't afford expensive gears. Take it at your own pace. ^_^

 

Maybe I really am overthinking things and I should slow down a bit... I'll try to enjoy the game more instead of just focusing on dealing damage and such. Thanks all! I really appreciate it Q-Q

Don’t get into this ‘OP build, OP equip, be rich’ stuff mindset (yet) x3
We all came to enjoy the game, not show up eachother :3
No need to delete hlb character :3 lvl it~
[Maybe later on if you still dont want it, reset it into another class~ :3 ]

Dealing little dmg but surviving is better than burst dmg n dying every second~

As mentioned above, playstyle matters~
Money might buy you greatest of equipment~
But what use of 2S +S equip if u cant use it xD
Tactics, knowledge of ur character n their pros n cons, info bout boss, thou~ will always out-do all that, n help u more :3

Those YT quality builds are freaking expensive. Don't set a very high expectation then rush in reaching it, you'll feel burnt out and thoughts like 'quitting' will show. If you want everyone to suck up to you is go play tank and go flex in shout 'lfp tank with a MASSIVE SHIELD', excellent price to performance ratio, join end game raids, hope that you get drops suiting your HB, rinse and repeat until your HB gets strong.

 

I have a tank char but the reason I can't confidently play it is because I'm afraid of the "reconnecting to the server" thingy that happens to me quite often *cries*. Besides, to be an awesome tank you need to learn a lot about boss pattern and stuff, which is a bit too much for my simple brain... But I get your point. I'll try to enjoy the game more instead of rushing for nothing :3

 

I just go with whatever I want to do in the game. I've played all weapon type characters(except for doowews and brawler, yet) just for the sake of it.

Do what you wish. I used to enjoy knux when it was level one skills. But since then its been weak (but I'd love to play Knux again if it had ever become strong and good at farming again).

Tbh I've always been a fan of mage class and now having wizard skills has made it enjoyable. I've not often had the best gears in the game, is why I stick to 1s with the best xtal I can buy. Later I may buy a full 2s set. But tbh.. Sometimes it can go out of style quickly. Although I'll be happy with MI10+20int armor and staff soon enough.

 

hb suffers from stability issues
the only stab gain is from str and equip, the accuracy of hb is lowest in the game and hence suffers from graze(stab is halved)
i deal around 400k total dt dmg on average with offset of 80k on venena ult, my statter bow's dmg at 3rd charge is 200k on venena ult without snipe which makes me wonder if i should quit hb
