So how's Brawler's fate?

Yo. Brawler is resting as of the moment.



Tier4 martial skills reinvigorates the brawler class. It can beat meteor breaker and dragon tooth. ^_^

 

I like how what I said is just gonna get casually overlooked

 

Thing is, Brawler is more than just doing damage. It's about control. Other trees have only one or two skills that can reliably interrupt and perform good crowd control. Brawlers, they (almost) have it all: Flinch to Stun, Stop, Fear.
The more I'm playing Brawler (granted, I'm abusing the hell out of Perfect Defense but still), the more I'm realizing that strength of theirs and the more I realize why the devs made these sensitive bosses because stunlocking is just PLAIN BROKEN (but I still stand by my previous point saying that they do/did that way too much, that they "nailed" it with Nure and that bosses like Jade where you can't use it at all because SCREW YOU are bad). Brawlers have a different aspect of strength than just raw numbers.

BUT!

Let's not stretch things too much shall we?
Meteor Breaker is so dang strong because 2Hs have access to the holy grail combination of physical DPS that is STR and DEX (STR for raw damage, DEX for less grazes and Stability) and you're invincible, so no stopping this skill once it's cast. Plus let's not forget that Sword Techniques is a 20% increase on Blade Skills' damage. And also, +5% ATK on War Cry.
Dragon Tooth on a normal fight, I definitely see Chariot or Rush being able to beat it. Dragon Tooth on a high difficulty fight or on bosses like Zahhak though, hardly. 100% Physical Pierce and pretty much guaranteed crits make this skill a powerhouse for those situations, even with the high graze chance (which can be reduced thanks to Dive Impact). Oh, and did I mention you cannot be Flinched, Tumbled or Stunned during the animation? Not that relevant, but can come handy if the situation occurs.

 

ppl tend to look for higher dps for better build they say but ignores all the properties to make a proper brawler ppl tend to ignore aspd and interruption for more "dps" ignoring 2 main strength of the class is more than enuf for them to not use em again or atleast rework their brawler ways

 

The problem is low damage -> not respected by party -> Kicked / people out from party...

 

Sounds like you’ve been in some bad parties then. Or that’s just common with other classes who don’t have anything else to offer besides damage lol.

Turns out a large majority of people like having tanks/proration/breaking for exp, items, and lower defense/evasion.

 

Well The char i want to build is actually Dex Agi (katana) Black Smith. I use mediocore equipment on it, so of course it's not that strong xD
I'm just thinking of re-build this BS Char so she can deal decent damage and leveling on her own easier...

 

What about staff fu full str rest agi with maximize@,@ and power wave for prorate@,@. After full str you can raise agi without care the +1atk by point in int like 2h dont really need goin dex after str@v@.

 

Well.... I'm thinkning about Knuck Main hand compability xD
