Hello, i'm Memei(Sold my acc tho). I have played this game for around 2 years, may be not as much as most of you but i was able to achieve something from my hardworks. Toram is the best game i have ever played until this day, i have no regret that i spent so much time and love for it. I even tried to quit 3 times, first time gave awat all of my equips(But rollback change it LOL), second time delete most of my chars except main, and the last try selling my account. I'm still here... But the better
i become, the worse i can feel. It's not about the game being more boring or harder. It's the toxic community and the shit game balance ruined it. Now this is mostly my opinion, so i will apologise in advance.

-The community:
+Probably one of the worst community ever, atleast for me. Scammers are everywhere. I have played plenty of MMO with trading system like Maple Story, BnS, Pso2, Elsword, etc... But never seen such a game with this much scammer, OMG.

+Modders existed since the beginning,i know, but lately they are just too common. Can't have a nice week without atleast 4-5 modders. Sure i'd love to play with friend instead of random people but most of my friends also quitted the game... I just wanna farm a bit, is that too much to ask for?

+On to the worst part. Whenever i try to say something like "Asobimo need to do something about it", i expect other player's agreement, but instead i got "If you hate it why not quit?" "Stop complaining" "Every game has hacker". Oof, they call me a hater and tell me to quit. I don't know what to say about it.... May be they are right, may be i should ignore those modders and let them ruins other player's experience or the market with their one hit farming tool. May be i should truly quit and stop trying to reach Asobimo's ears telling them how screwed their game has become because their security is shit.

+Knuckle: I bet semi DPS breaker + is important when tank can do the job better. Tank Knuckle seems harder to hold aggro than 1h Tank..."Then let's buff 1h tank and leave Knuckle alone"-Asobimo
+Biggest joke: Enchant Blade aka 2h Enchant Blade. I don't think i need to explain.
+Proto Clarity Rose: Before, DW is good tier at best because they will suffer at high def bosses. But with that....? Now Halberd has a chance to lose in their own home. Hb might deal more dmg but DW has superior ampr and survivability. So how did Asobimo solve this problem? By nerfing DW and buffing HB ofc! What a brilliant idea, nerf something that require lv170 to unlock and has been weak for a very long time. Btw i don't play DW, i just think this nerf is stupid. Nerf Decoy, sure that's fair, but THAT much dmg like holy fuk. 15% with Max Str Agi is no joke.
+Thanks for 10% Burst buff. I would choose it over 50% Finale buff.

Knuckle were never meant to be tank those tank knuckles are like gunfu just builds.Despite freedom of skills and such its not free at all.

 

Knux tank or much proper to be called Utility Knux. Coz knux is at not really an aggro holder and generator, but can lock some boss with FTS cycle and fast arm break.

Before it was the tuyuls era. Now it is the modders era. For sure asobi nd toram team are doing some plans regarding this issues.

It is really hard for a non "tank" knux to get pt. Even if you can out dps the other members. It is based on my exp. The discrimination on knux dps (non tank) is a cancer in this time.

 

I'll read your post thoroughly soon, but I want to point out my thoughts at a glance.

Having played many MMOs, the community seems average to me. Perhaps our perspectives are different.

#2: I've played a MMO for ~5+ years with 10,000 hours put into when I was younger. You don't want to quit abruptly on stuff that is valuable to you like such. Even if you're fed up with it, rather than "quit", take a break. How many hours per week did you play in the past? I ask this rethorically as you should just put an an hour or so every week or of something similar to that aspect. Over time, your feelings of passion will begin to diminish and you'll find yourself not playing at all, without even noticing. The difference though, is in memory the game will have a positive outlook looking back, rather than with regrets or frustration.

Think of it like this. A child born a taught piano at a young age. He might not like the idea of pianos, but continues because their parents tell him to. At times in his life, knowing the piano came with oportunities, friendships, etc. At some times, the child may love the piano, playing this song, or doing that or whatsoever..However, at times, he may hate it. He may hate the pressure, the time spent, practicing, etc. In this scenario, many years. later piano has left an impact on his life. If he were to quit playing so suddenly, he would have some feelings of sadness, even if not realized by his unconcious. This is because regardless or this or that or w/e, piano is significant to his life. So instead of quitting and leaving it all behind, I'd say change that mindset. In this example, the ability and knowledge to play piano is a skill that will persist his entire lifetime. Some experiences and memories he may encounter in this entire life to come may not occur if he were to forget and abandon it.

May be difficult to comprehend to some people, but hope it makes sense to others.

even gotten to a point where people depend on modders to kill pretty arm prices or xtal... game is going downhill.

 

How would you know this?
If you can observe someone using a mod., report them.
If you know the source to find mods., then make sure you inform the devs. about this.

Sadly, most people do not do either option. A lot of people would presume someone has done it before them, or it does not leave have an impact. Both mindsets you should refrain from having.

 

Yea i got to admit game is going down hill devs only care if it happens in JP server. After personally sending multiple reports to asobimo and only to be ignored its like why even put the report system if you dont even bother.

They only care if it effects JP server is false. It's obviously a communication issue.

Sarah is only a PR. She can't even begin to address issues to the other team especially when people in general do not care to address them in formal, civil, and in proper circumstances.

Look at Toram's Twiiter. How many languages do you see getting translated for the same topic? A lot. Devs. only care if it effects their server? Keeping in mind they were not even obligated to extend their game to our countries in the first place, this statement you had mentioned is obviously false and misleading to those who are easily influenced by words.

 

Then tell me how people thats received multiple reports still roam the servers. How areas with bots still operate because devs wont bother with the reports we send. Why the add me army only got solved quickly after they invaded JP after we lived with them for years.

 

There are reasons for all those circumstances. If the desire is only an outcome, then realize the needed steps (and complications) required to reach such goal. Often, we in general tend to only glance at the surface of things.

I don't want to answer you questions you posted directly as it's too much effort needed to express for me as I feel right now. Perhaps I will if the topic gets bumped randomly in the future;

 

Honestly i haven't spent much time for Toram lately(probably less than 1 hour per week unless MQ update) but it's really hard to quit this game completely. Well, you can see this is not my first time trying to quit, but thanks for your advice, i think i can take another break, a longer one this time. I guess it's because i still have a little hope for this game.

Yea toram comunity is pretty sick for a pve game, players just care about show ss of fast times and videos soloing with the purpose of feeding their egos and the more funny thing are all this kids trying to do pvp in a pve game, lets dont talk about class racism is funny that a free to build game pve 100% focus have a big population of racist players with any diferent build not meta and mods users are a fukin cancer now days.comunity just want to play ''who have the longer dick'' in a pve game, Instead of share info makin comunity grown and helping base players.

 

This is why PvP is a bad feature for this game. Doesn't matter how Asobimo would balance things in PvP, the biggest problem is the community itself. And they said they were working on it(Suzuki P said: "It's not like you can be the strongest when pvp released"...) So yeah, expect the worst.

 

I guess I'm fortunate enough to have never been scammed in my 2 and a half years in Toram. The mods are really widespread nowadays because it's publicly available and easily acquirable. About game balance, yeah.. They obviously kept buffing halberd because the difficulty says it's HARD, and it needs to be easier. Doowew gets barely a nerf, I don't even feel slower, damage is still too high even without Proto.

And Neo Maton.. Pure cancer. What were the devs thinking when making this? 1000% fractionals? Yea why not. Fractional waves that hits way too many times? Sure. Obviously none of the dev team could reach that far and experience the cancer they've made for themselves.

 

Nowadays I only solo challenge dungeon, grind for level a bit and sells gemstones at the end of month.

 

I think real pvp gona make game more funy, cause if u are tired of do pve can go to break some heads in pvp mode giving game more life and things to do. Im gona be happy to dont see anymore gai fake pvp duels
But yeah expect cancerx10000 comunity if pvp avaliable xD
