Special Gear for arrow mage

So I decided on selling my 1s philo ring since I don't need the cspd anymore, my cspd is 1k without wearing it..



I'm open to any suggestions on which slotted ring to get. I just know that I'll be adding a York to it. Some of these caught my eye; Cookie talisman for 1k hp?, Time warp watch for 1k aspd?, Magic talisman IV possibly?, I dunno. Not too sure if there's something else that will be more beneficial for more dps or to my build in general.

Now a days, a good Mage DPS FINALE use:
- Staff IM 7% 14INT or IM7% 14% Damage to X element ( Mozto Machina + Grecia )
-Armor IM 7% or IM 7% INT 2 ( Iconos for HP, Ifrid for MP + Guignol )
-Additional Tyrant Greivance or Devil Hood ( Ancient Empress II + Guignol )
-Special Magic Talisman IV ( Guignol + Lalvada )
in sub weapon depends for Shield or Arrow and your MP.
I see more Mage prefer 255 INT and VIT because DEX give a little extra damage but Finale generate more aggro and you need more resistance and more HP.
Is my oppinion.

 

Cookie talisman, kinda ok but u may lack mp.

Tww, NOPE worthless for mage unless u have crt equips (what kinda mage does this?!). Ur attacks will miss most of the time so no ampr/proration, plus auto attacks eats up sneak counters. And the nice minus resistances, 101 dumb ways to die

Magic talis 4, tried stats calculator and showed its stronger than philo ring plus bonus 2mp. Get this nicies. Xtals wise tho its a dillema, guignol lil bit stronger than granny but u using york so you're fine. I might recommend deniela for moar hp because its not like york's bonus matk gonna rise ur dps much at all, at least for current low atk staffs.

I also forgot to mention the whatever talisman that -aggro, was it dark amulet something? Kinda nice for casting sneak lol, its not for finale pre-cast aggro btw.

 

My sub is chimera arrow. Build is a dps arrow mage, full int and dex only, going for quick casting max dmg char. Yeah, I'm excited about getting finale here soon, few more lvls. I thought Magic Tali 4 would still be best but wasn't sure if maybe there were some others that were worth a look.

My mp is plentiful, I could give a little up. Why I thought maybe cookie talisman w/ a York in it would be good, pierce it later down the line and find another matk mage xtal in it.

Would cookie ring (10 matk) do more dmg than magic talis 4? or is it the other way around?

 

iirc 1 INT = 4 MATK at staff,
10 MATK is equal with 2-3 INT point,

so if philo or magic talisman can give you more than 3 INT, that will result better matk

 

Personally i use dark knight amulet+biscuit knife, gotta love that 45%-aggro. For hp, i use deniala & super night mushroom.

 

Are you going to mainly use finale when you get it? Sad to say but your build isn't gonna cut it anymore if you do.

Finale isn't affected by CSPD and if you want the juicy damage, you'd have to almost hug the boss when you cast it, hence the importance of Vit(HP).

That's why Queen Staff(-9999 CSPD) is the best staff for Finale right now because it's easy to get 3k Matk with it.

The 142 Matk you gained from dex(cap 150) would only increase the damage of Finale by about 4-6% VS. The thousands of HP you'd get if you go for vit.

As for accessories, either magic talisman(for damage) or ghillie sheet(for -aggro) with Granny and Guignol would be best.


If you don't wanna hug the boss and still want your CSPD to matter(as in not change your build) then I'd suggest just go for Magic: Burst.

Depends if u using finalle as dps. The cspd doesnt increase it any faster for finalle. That is why u see ppl with -9999cspd using queen staff for matk. You will find that sneak lvl 10 very useful since finalle give high agro. The only problem u will face is boss speedy flinches.

 

Wouldn't you go Guignol and York instead of Granny?

 

Granny gives more MATK than both Guignol and York/Lalvada. Guignol only beats Granny by about 4 MATK or something if you have a +S Queen Staff.

As of right now yes. Guignol would be better if you have a +S Queen Staff but by only 4 points. Consider the price difference too.

Here's the math if you don't believe:

ATK or MATK = (level + weapon attack [if applicable] + stat boosts) * (1 + ATK or MATK%/100) + flat ATK or MATK

Using the equips posted above by BLCY(only relevant stats):

Level 155 = 155 MATK
255 int = 1020 MATK
8 int from Magic Talisman = 32 MATK
14 int stat(weapon) = 56 MATK
2 int stat(armor) = 8 MATK
157 Dex = 157 MATK
+S 200 Staff = 665 MATK
Int 7% stat(weapon) = 78 MATK
Int 7% stat(armor) = 78 MATK

Add all those = 2249

Guignol:
2249 * 1.05 = 2361

Granny:
2249 + 100 = 2349

York/Lalvada:
2249 * 1.04 = 2338

That is with Full Int>Dex with +S 200 weapon Atk spirit's tear. Only 12 point difference between Granny and Guignol.

And we all know that any decent mage won't put all the other points on Dex(specially if you use Finale). Not everyone also have +S weapons. Price difference too(Granny = around 2m. Nure+Guig = around 5 - 6m).

Most players would get higher MATK with Granny.
