Alright, so there was recently a debate on forums about whether or not Spinning Slash reset proration with each tick of its damage cycle or not. There were many interesting observations made, which included:

    - Each tick from Spinning Slash resets proration
    - The use of Spinning Slash as a combo opener/early in combo can raise the damage on your combo's damage attack

Here's what I noticed while testing:

    - I ultimately did more damage on average using Spinning Slash in my combo (maxing out at 9.2k in this video vs MS) vs Astute (maxing out at 8.4k during this video)

    - When MS was trapped inside Spinning Slash, the ticks didn't reset proration, and instead caused my maximum damage to MS to decrease from 9.2k to 8.6k

    Just for clarification:

    - I auto attacked 4 times in between each combo use to allow similar proration between each comparison.

    - Both combos were the same, except the opening move (Spinning Slash/Astute>Shadowstep (Save)>Quick Aura (swift)>Warcry (Cons)>Impact (Cons)>Phantom Slash (Smite)). Both 10 CP.

    - No party, pet or mercenary was used for this video, for sake of even proration.

    - Equipment stood unchanged through entire video, for sake of same conditions.

Shoutout to ~Lynxia~ for noticing the damage increase from Spinning Slash. All credit to her for discovery of that.

Let me know what you guys think, as I still feel it's up in the air. @Lynxi also said she was retesting, so her video should be up soon. Post here if you want, mom o3o

If you look in my video when MS is trapped in my last Spinning Slash, the ticks decrease in damage, but average around one spot, initial ticks being 690 damage, and dropping as low as 610 damage, meaning each tick does lower proration, although, considering damage is higher with Phantom Slash when using Spinning Slash, I think the ticks themselves may be considered 'Normal' instead of 'Physical.'

Here is test #2 checking the spam theory as well.

In this video, I'm testing Lynxia's theory of Spinning Slash resetting proration via spam.

    My results: Inconclusive.

When pushing MS up the hill, damage was random, sometimes being higher, sometimes being lower.

When trapping MS in the corner, damage still appeared random, sometimes raising, and sometimes lowering.

This may be a result of stability affect on damage, as stability can not guarantee 100% stable damage, even though between both weapons, I have 150% stability.

Do you have cd7% cd12 on your Weapon and armor? Cuase Crit Damage stat helps with stability a little.
