Stat Points HALP

So if I'm gonna be a Dex BS, should I prioritize stat points into tec or dex? What's the difference between the two anyway?

 

You're a DEX bs so yes youRE GONNA PRIORITIZE THE DEX STAT

 

A DEX BS crafts weapons. You'll need DEX 255 before adding any TEC. Every 10 points in DEX adds POT+1 to Bowguns and every 20 points in DEX adds POT+1 to One-Handed Swords and Bows. You want to max it first so you can make good weapons. DEX also increases Difficulty so you can make higher level stuff than other "Stat" Blacksmiths, helping you to increase your Proficiency level faster. After you max DEX start assigning points in TEC.

A Bowgun crafter BS's stats at Lv105 should look like this: DEX 255 > TEC 32.
A 1H-Sword/Bow crafter BS's stats at Lv105 should look like this: DEX 255 > STR 32 (You could also go for DEX 250 > STR 30 > TEC 7).

Also, here are some stats you need to focus on if you where to make anymore blacksmiths.
2H Blacksmith = STR
Magic Device + Staff Blacksmith = INT
Knuckles Blackmith = AGI
Armor Blacksmith = VIT
Bowguns + Bows + 1H Blacksmith = DEX
Refiner + Stater = Tech

 

Bs should cap a stat at 250 since putting the other five just wastes them,

You could be a Sniper and a DEX BS too, and self-craft Bowguns for your Sniper.

 

250tec and rest str i think? For bows , 1h too i mean

well this one the easiest BS to lvl up profeciency

my idea to go on DEX 250;
it will increase ur diff. to per 6 dex, let say without training it, u already got 41 diff level on 250 stat.

for secondary stat;
if u wanna be more creative, put on str; i can made good 1H sword

or else, if u wanna fast lvling profeciency, just put on tech

as for dex bs who focus on bg, me do dex 252 as multiple 6 end up in 252 then rest on tec.
