WRITER'S NOTE: I am no bot. I am just posting this for the sake of writing a story about, well, something to amaze your eyes :)

    So here goes!

(Part 1: Starting a new game)

Here I am, minding my own business, waiting for the bell to ring.

"Man, when will our teacher stop giving us these hard questions?!" It was Jackie! She may be smart, but even our teacher gives her a hard time. What more does that do to us then?

After a few minutes, the bell rang. Students are so happy to hear the bell ring when all of a sudden, the teacher flipped the table. BANG! a huge set of weird consoles made the students stare at awe.

"Alright class, for your summer assignment, I want you to play a specific game with these consoles. Each console is uniquely made for each and every one of you. You have the whole summer to play with it."

Man! No one knew that the teacher was somewhat cool. I expected a long paperwork from this, but she didn't give us any! She would just want us to play and have fun. How cool is that? So then, time to go home!

A few moments after I got home, I was excited to see what kind of game could it be that our teacher would simply want us to play? Hopefully it's not a MOBA, I love MOBAs, but I would want to play an MMORPG with this bad boy. Oh, I forgot, the console looks like a phone with a VR gear connected to it and somewhat a microphone. The manual states that it doesn't need internet connection. SUCKS! I was hoping for an MMO with this thing! Oh well, offline RPG doesn't sound bad. Must be a dungeon crawler or something. What am I doing? I should be playing this and not complaining. Okay, whatever this is, I will play it since teacher told us to do so.

Wearing the VR with a transparent screen makes it easy to still see what's going on outside. The headset doesn't clear out the noise outside as well. The handling for the unit is okay I guess. So then, how do I start this? must be a button on the console? No buttons at all! just a plain blank screen. Hmm, how about the VR? Still no luck huh. What about the side of the headphones? oh, here's the volume control, here is the... WOAH!!!

Suddenly, I felt like I was warped into a new dimension, but I still feel the bed behind me and the cold breeze my fan makes. Just like playing with a VR, still the same, no changes. After a few ticks, the view changed. I can now see the game! It looks fantastic! but, empty? just a landscape? nothing more? how do I move? must be with the console... and it's just a dud. Maybe it's broken. Just when I'm about to remove the VR, I saw a flash of light. Someone's here! Must be an NPC.

"Welcome to the game. My name is Amelia, and I will be your guide. Tell me, what's your name kid?"

Guess I use the microphone? okay... "Luke"... no response??? "LUKE!"... still nothing. gah!

"Hey kid! Don't shout at your teacher! Manners would you?"

Wait, what?! how the? what the? ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh?!?!

"hahaha! Luke, I'm not an NPC, and I can hear you. It's me! Your teacher! Just call me Amelia here. This is the starting point, clearly, we are still waiting for the others to log in."

So, Amelia huh. Pretty cool... alright, it seems that our teacher wasn't messing with us. Just have to wait till the others log in. w-wait... the instructions said it doesn't require internet connection? How the heck are we in a game that we can all connect?!

"Long story short, let's just say that technology is now advancing to a new stage where we don't need internet."

Let's just say that it is a bit weird and cool at the same time. So anyway, after a few minutes of waiting and doing nothing since I can't move like Amelia can, then came Jackie. And then the others came flashing in too. And so on and so forth, until there are almost 20 of us in the starting point.

"Alright! Since everyone is here, let me introduce myself again. I am your teacher and guide in this game, but just call me Amelia. After the basic tutorial, you will then have to learn most of the game by yourself. So, you have your microphone to speak with each other in game. You can also communicate even from a far by a SATCON. the SATCON is a simple navigation tool which can be seen at the menu on the unit that you are holding. As you can see, if you are not using the VR and is not logged in, it is just a clear black screen. Try to hold the unit to the point that you see it. You will see that it is going to be your main menu, map, guide, etc. Next would be movement. With your right hand or left hand, use the controller to move. Your actions though, is through your thoughts. You can also set the movement in a different manner in the settings..."

All done! BYE! I've already calibrated the settings for myself and I have everything under control. You said basics right? I just need to know where the settings are and basic movement phase. So yeah, see yah!

I set off as soon as I was done. That will be a long and boring speech if I continue to listen. Besides, gaming is my life! This will be a piece of cake to me! Okay, so first, check the map and see where the nearest town is. It is a norm to every gamer that if your starting point is in the middle of nowhere, you would have to go to the nearest town to get a quest and start from there. Or, simply kill a few mobs along the way to gather some materials for some cash to buy potions and gears. But, why the heck is the map empty? It just shows my current location and a few meters away from me! Argh! well then, plan B it is. Kill mobs and go straight!

A few moments later, my SATCON was blinking.

"Starting off without gear, without knowledge about the game, a few hints on how to move, and nowhere to go. How crazy can you be? Tutorial is a must you know!"

Jackie popped up on the lower right of my screen with a cool beginner set. Damn! I should've listened to that boring speech till the end!

    ~TO BE CONTINUED~
