Suggest some combo for 2h Without Flinch/Tumble

    Mhm it becomes 6mp past trigger lvl6 but i mostly only used it for minibosses

    Well I seem to do well for myself then again I never asked for help to often,I just go out and do it, if I made a bad ass bow char like my other ones and got to know it is advise on a combo for that as well ^^

    I used it on piller with fire ele sword took ranks I also had my own combo that killed fast I think that's on YouTube with damage to show for it .3

    Get the armor from Inzanio -> praetor armor (nullifies tumble) :kappa:

    Astute > Trigger Slash (Save) > Shell break (Smite) > Impact (consec) : 2 -> 1 mp

    When shell break proc :
    Tempest > Astute / sonic blade (save) > impact (swift) : 2 mp

    or

    impact > tempest (smite) > astute (consec) : 3 mp

    Nullifies tumble in exchange for a lot of dps lose though :(

    And your tempest at the start when shell break procs will only be at 100% of it's initial damage...

    I personally prefer the combo earlier mentioned: Astute-> Tempest (smite)-> Trigger (cons)

    I'm not going to list more combo's; the ones I use were already mentioned after all. But I do have one question

    Isn't it better to smite Trigger rather then Shell Break? 2h can't equip knuckles as a sub so the proc rate goes down quite a lot... around 20% I would say. :confused:

    Which means you have to wait a long time until you can use your heavy combo...And only the first combo doesn't really make the cut damage wise speaking I think

    So what your suggestion for a 1 or 2 mp combo that doesnt cause flinch and tumble? Ah also include a shell break. Off course With ts' available skill set.

    Trigger and shell got the same mp, just mix and match em ;)

    Btw getting kicked from pt = 0 dps. Not a bad bargain :kappa:

    Um...since no flinch/tumble...hard hit, spiral air, impact, and smash are out...

    that leaves...

    astute lvl 10 (200 MP), trigger slash lvl 5 (300 MP), sonic blade lvl 5 (200 MP), sword tempest lvl 10 (400 MP), shell break lvl 10 (300 MP)

    Hmm...

    Astute>>Shell Break (Save)>>Sonic Blade (Consecutive)>>Sword Tempest (Smite)>>Trigger Slash (Consecutive)
    Total Cost: 300 MP
    Would recommend having Trigger Slash at level 10 if using combo (for atk mp recovery)
    I didn't use bash cause it's stun rate is worse than shield bash and shield cannon (especially without knuckles equipped)
    Also, without knuckles equipped, shell break's chance to break/recover mp is only around 10% (i think, it may be less, i am not sure, someone please confirm).
    Damage could be better, but due to limiting factors...sorry, but this is the best that I could come up with.

    Have having combo starters (that don't flinch) and buffers such as holy fist or assault attack (thought assault attack should be followed up by sonic blade or combo will no flow well) could help.
    Using high mp cost skills with save such as sanctuary could help as well.

    Also, this is just what I can say from observation. I don't use a two-handed sword character, so I am definitely not an expert.

    At least I think you should be better of saving Shell and smithing Trigger though...I think it does more damage that way too: it's not a sword fu after all ;), better grasp Tkick then while we are at it and make the following: Holy Fist-> Shell Break (save)-> Triple Kick (smite)-> Trigger (cons)

    ^ It's in fact not a bad combo; but its not very well suited for a 2h (The one you mentioned) and my Tkick combo isn't that great either for utilizing 2h's true power: 2h can't use Brawler skills like 1h (fu) can

    As for me; I can't really use this combo yet since I have to reset my character for it (which I'm going to do soon)

    Either this one: Holy Fist-> Sneak Attack (save)-> Astute (cons)-> Tempest (smite)-> Trigger (cons) (1mp)

    Or: Astute -> Sneak Attack (save)-> Holy Fist (cons)-> Tempest (smite)-> Trigger (cons) (2mp)

    NOTE: Sneak attack is 4 mp

    Why do I close my combo's with Trigger? For the ampr boost :D

    EDIT: I forgot about shell Break; I don't use it. I'd rather go with Quick Draw then Shellbreak at 2h because the proc rate of Shellbreak at 2h is just soo low :(

    And for a combo with shellbreak the one @TheShadow mentioned are imo the ones to go for....It's impossible to make a 1mp combo with Tempest smite without impact...Unless you have a 4mp skill (or higher) like Sanctuary or Sneak Attack

    Even a 2mp combo with Tempest Smite isn't possible when you don't have a non-flinch/tumble opener that is 1mp :rolleyes:

    No pt =/ no dps; it's soloing like Kirito :p

    I'm pretty sure that in the case of sword-fu, triple kick is actually pretty good if used right. Since STR raises critical damage, triple kicks critical rate isn't bad without knucks (can buff with astute), the critical damage off of a smited triple kick can do high damage. I think I remember Ninearts (who doesn't play anymore?) doing a build like that.

    Sneak attack save is interesting though. How much time does sneak attack take to cast?

    In the case of sword Fu Triple Kick is indeed very good; but it doesn't make the cut for 2h (which I was talking about while reffering to Sword fu); though Heavy Smash is even better when Shell break procs, but let's put that aside; we can talk about that in Equites dojo :p

    ^ The reason why Tkick doesn't really do imo is because Tempest is sstronger then Tkick if smited...Although Tkick still deals more damage then Spiral air; so for 1mp spam non Tempest: Holy Fist-> Shell Break (save)-> Tkick (smite)-> Trigger cons is the one to go for.

    As for me I don't use it because of personal reasons :rolleyes: (in short: lack of sp)

    Sneak Attack save is similair to the time it takes to 'cast' Sanctuary....I think; not 100% sure about this....At least I can say its quite slow :(

    Why not going Sanctuary then for damage reduction? Because Sancutary would take 11 sp to get lvl 1 Sanctuary; while Sneak Attack only takes you 6sp to lvl 1 (Lvl for Sneak Attack doesn't really matter unless you don't want to bother the tank too much:p; Sanctuary lvl 1 kind of sucks I think...You would be better of maxing it)

    And if you take quick draw too; you already have Bow Mastery lvl 5; so it only would take you 15 sp to get Quick Draw maxed

    21 sp = Quick Draw max + Sneak attack level 1; pretty fair deal in my opinion :rolleyes:

    I was referring to "2H" Sword Fu as still working well with triple kick...Yeah tempest is stronger, and is honesty better to use even at an extra cost of 100 MP, (more damage, save more skill points, boost further with sword techniques). I'm just saying that sword-fu "2H" isn't that bad.

    Try this:-
    Assault attack+holy fist(cons)+trigger(lvl10)(cons)+sanc(save)+astute(cons)+tempest(smite)+rampage(smite)
    Rampage wont activate if your mp less than 1000
    Its only 110% tempest but fast and spammable.

    Please re-read the purpose of the thread starter question sir @Joughton, we are here to help him, not to make the perfect combo for a 2H build. So what does he need?
    Why would he need that?
    It is sad to be kicked out of party... So what is his skill set?
    No holy fist?
    Ah okay then, we will come up with an idea or two

    thanks for summing up my throughs...and if anyone has paid attention to what I've wrote right in the beginning....There r a few combos....But I'm not an 2h expert either so I can only tell combos but not which is best

    Oh come on... I already stated in my first post that I had not any combo's to add to the ones that were already made:rolleyes:; yet you ask for a suggestion of a 1mp / 2mp combo; saying nothing about limitations to the needs of the owner fo the thread... :confused:

    ^ Say the same to mayam then :p: She even includes sanctuary in a combo (something I kind of mentioned too though xD)

    I also stated that it is impossible to make a 1/2mp combo with the skills he has currently availabe and to smite tempest in the same combo: you can of course ask for a lot; but hey, Holy Fist is only 1 sp (and some spina) away; we can at least recommend it then right o_O

    In fact he asks for a combo utilizing Shell Break that's non tumble/flinch ánd for a DPS Tempest combo:

    You can view this from different sides
    -He means utilizing Shell Break damage
    -He means utilizing Shell Break for the mp recovery

    Is it a combo with shell break ánd Tempest non flinch/tumble or is it a combo with shell break non-flinch/tumble and a seperated dps Tempest combo

    And while I do agree with you of not making a perfect combo of 2h, since that was not the purpose of the thread...We can at least suggest him some possibilities for different combo's right :D; even if that requires some sp; he does not NEED to do this or anything; it are just suggestions~ ;)

    So I don't really find your 'correction' 'right' ... But that's just a matter of opinion. :kappa:
