Support Pet

Does pet's weapon affect the buff/ampr/duration or etc of a skill (All buff skill)
Because I've been farming a pet for a while and all I got are gentle with 2h/bow weapon. Is it recommended to have md/staff for weapon, why? Thank you for the answers..

 

pet's weapon only affects stat growth, attack range and stability.
Gentle pets don't attack, so only stat growth matters, since heal skills are based on matk.
Knuckle, MD and Staff are best for this.
the buff skills are completely unaffected by stats or weapon.

for the Timid Nature, MD is most suited. it can attack from 6m and has more matk than Bowgun/Bow.
Knuckle and Staff cannot attack with Timid, because the range is too short.
