Someone said you'd get the 6th slot if you maxed it. Don't know the Max size though.

    The pattern, in terms of land squares, appears to be 20, 40, 80, 160, 320 for 2, 3, ..., 6 pets.
It is cheapest to build up your land square-ish if you plan to max it at 18x18 for 6 pets, i.e. 7x7 then 8x8 then 9x9 then....
Otherwise, skinny is cheapest (5x8, 5x16, 9x18)... æsthetics aside.

    5x5 to 6x7 (3 pets) costs 97k spina.
    6x7 to 9x9 (4 pets) costs 307k spina more.
    9x9 to 13x13 (5 pets) costs 980k additional spina.
    13x13 to 18x18 (6 pets) costs 2425k spina.

If we ever get an update to allow for a 7th pet, expect to build 25x25 and pay a fortune.
For 5 pets, 9x18 or 10x16 (or 12x14) are cheaper to build than 13x13. Build 9x9 first, then add.
