As statter or refiner?
Since with 255 tec, we cant reach max pot l guess?

Refiner needs 252 for max success chance on refining. Statter needs 255 for max pot returned on nega stats.

Personally I'm using 247 tec. Refining is all about luk, and it's acceptable to live on the edge a lil when statting

 

Is it a big difference if you can't reach max pot? I mean if you put 255 tech 282str, mostly you got 85 pot but 247 tech 290str, you can max pot to 86. How big is the difference with one pot less when doing fillstat?

 

Not much difference. At least not for most common current formulas. As a rule of thumb, 1 pot = 1% more success rate.

If you choose 247 over 255, you get more 1 pot on crafting and loses 1 pot on each nega. So depending on the formula, you may lose 3-5 pot from negas to get more 1 pot on crafting. Nothing but a big stonks.

Also, those who choose 247 tec over 255 for statting are often who complain about simulators not being accurate, when the problem is their own setup.
