(test)elemental bow VS elemental arrow which is sronger

hi guys , im curious about what is the use of elemental bow or bowgun since we have elemental arrow already ,
then i decided to do some test
elemental bow add 25% more attack and %atk towards oposite element
while on normal bow we use elemental arrow which also add 25% damage to element and also add
more critical damage ...
so which one is stronger ? , lets find out on this video that i made ^^

 

Alright, gonna be straight. Here's why your elemental bow deals more damage: it has Dmg to Dark +13%. This gives your highest damage an even greater boost than simply ATK+7%: 1.07*1.25 = 1.3375
Whereas Dmg to Dark adds itself to your elemental boost: 1.25 + 0.13 = 1.38
1.38 > 1.3375
And let's not get started on the skill constants of Snipe or else we're going to overcomplicate things unnecessarily. But does it definitely prove that ele bows are better than Bows + ele Arrows?
Not at all.
First, because of the extra crit rate on the other bow, your chances of crits are higher and thus average DPS is similar if not in favor of the crit rate Bow.
Second, using an ele Arrow allows you to use this stat on your Bow instead: Atk+7%, Dmg to Dark 13% and Cdmg +13. I suppose we don't need to compare which is higher, do we?

Bow
Crit+14
Crit+14%
Cdmg+14
Ele+14%
+ ele arrow

Or

Bow
Atk+7%
Cd+14
Ele+14%
+ ele arrow

These stats will give maximum damage. Stat on bow can be either of the above depending on how much crit you need.

 

Umm yes, but still bow need less critical rate than bowgun, so i do think that

Since bow need less critical rate than bowgun, and im using gothic hat + proto leon xtal, i dont think that my ele bow hit critical less than my normal bow, so i might say definitely better, and thanks for your explanation ^^

 

But why elemental bow + elemental arrow?, dont we need only 1 thing to get element?

 

By ele+14% I mean the stat +14% damage to ele. For ele you can get it from either bow or arrow they do not stack but +14% to element can be added however much you want. Get element from arrow and add +14% to element on bow.

 

Not exactly what the video showed. With your crit bow, you've managed to crit consistently throughout the whole fight (and this might be RNG playing in your favor, unless you can confirm you had 100% crit rate with it). With your ele bow, I've seen a lot more white hits. You even got a non crit Snipe off. Considering that crit damage multiplier is the second best thing for DPS (even higher than elemental boosts), that's a huge DPS loss.
But that's just me nitpicking because I'm making a guide about DPS and not knowing your entire stats and ava stats. If you feel that your build works fine, good for you.

 

yes , i agreed with you , better damage if you lucky enough to get 100% crt , but mostly on short battle i will get crt , but if long battle , them yea crt weapon is more relieable

 

- not all arrows have elements
- "element" and "damage to element" stack, so a "damage to neutral +25" with elemental arrow will be strong against 2 elements
- bowguns can use sub weapons other than arrows

Yes you should take them..
Ele+14% on bow with respective elemental arrow gives highest damage output.

 

"fire element" on bow and arrow will not stack
but you can stack "fire element" and "damage to fire"
