Hello all. I’m new to the forums and have s build that I am working on. Before I get started with what I have in mind. I should first let you know that I am a history geek when it comes to medieval times. So if fun facts and trivia bore you. My apologies.

Oh, and before I go on to the build. This build isn’t meant to be super op and optimized. It’s just my own personal Build that I enjoy working on. So don’t expect a highly optimized build as to me it’s for fun.

    The honorable swordsman
    Stats
    Str:0
    Int:0
    Crit:0
    Vit:20 - 30
    Dex:255
    Agi: remaining points

Reasoning: back in the day. When one grew of age and began to train to be a knight. Men were taught that speed and technique always trumped raw power. Because of this, I chose my main stats to be dex and agl. I may lack power but make up for it in lightning quick auto attacks, the ability to skill spam, and decent Eva. Allowing me to show the true colors of a swordsman.

    Equipment

Something I’m still working on. However I know I’ll be using a one handed sword, no shield. Possibly use a dagger for my off hand. Afterall this is a work in progress and I’m sorta new to the game so I’m still working on the equipment and skills part.

    Skills

Welp the hardest part of this little
Project. The only skill I know he’s gonna have is maxed out parry. And that it’s a build that isn’t reliant on buffs. So with not using buffs. I have a lot of skill points to add into passives and actives.

This is a bit short at the moment but I’d like to hear your suggestions. And input on my little build. Feel free to comment away.

This is really vague atm, you might want to look for a 1h dagger build as reference. I think for a start, you need to decide your main offensive skill, meteor breaker, buster blade, gattling knife etc. Then, you need to have an idea on how you maintain your mp througout battles, be it trigger slash, rampage, decoy shot, or maybe 1mp long combos. You can simulate the skill tree using coryn skill simulator

I remember I read somewhere that Parry is a useless skill. The truth about this game is that some skills aren't as useful as the description says.. The same goes for some game mechanics (which, many are not explained in game). Too bad most of the guides about them has been deleted.

Maybe you want to add reflect stat in your list? As its name, it reflect X% of the damage that you received. It's might be better than parry as it has 100% to proc.

Reflect doesnt reduce the damage taken by you, it only deals a part of that damage upon enemy, also the reflect damage is obsolete

Parry has a 30% chance to reduce physical damage taken by 20%. there is no text banner when it activates, so you can't really see it.
    it's like a defensive version of whack/concentrate.
unlike Guard, which only works against certain attack patterns from your target, Parry can trigger against any physical attack from any direction.
it doesn't work with fractional or magic attacks, though, yet it provides better protection than Def-Up or Desperate Resist.
Astute is a fast slash and increases your critical rate for 10s. it would certainly match your selection criteria.
Trigger Slash increases mp recovery from auto-attacks until your next skill, and will speed up the next skill by 50%. a very useful ability.
Spiral Air looks beautiful and is an elegant skill (matching your criteria). it cannot land a critical hit, but it's base power is higher than other skills and gives you a small boost to critical damage based on your DEX stat. a perfect match for your build.
you probably want to avoid Rampage, War Cry and Berserk, as they are not elegant techniques. Sword Tempest and Meteor Breaker are probably too fantastic.
so Buster Blade will be your ultimate skill.
then you certainly want all the passive blade skills: Sword Mastery (obviously), Quick Slash for more attack speed and Sword Technique for higher damage with blade skills.

don't forget to save some points for survival skills. and if you have leftovers, you may consider halberd skills.
some of them can be used with 1h swords. you won't get a weapon bonus for 1h, but they can be useful. (and look like fencing skills)
Flash Stab is just a quick strike. nothing special, but can be a replacement for Hard Hit if it's too unrefined and brute for you.
Charged Stab takes a short time to prepare, but has increased critical rate and partially ignores the monster's defence.
Punish Ray is a magic attack that deals damage based on your physical attack stat and increases the critical rate of the next 3 skills. very useful, especially since you will have good cast speed from DEX, but maybe too fantastic...

dagger skills are not very knightly, so you probably don't want them. in that case, just equip a dagger with useful stats and ignore the dagger's weapon atk stat, as it won't be used outside of dagger attacks.

since you are also using the AGI stat, you might consider to remodel your armour to the light type.
this will disable Guard, but gives you 10% Evasion. also your attack speed and Dodge stat will increase at the cost of defence.
in that case, i recommend the Light Armour Mastery skills, since they increase your Evasion rate even further.

with this you can avoid most physical and fractional attacks, but you will be vulnerable to magic. (you can't have everything)
potions and food that increase magic resistance will help.
(and refining your armour and add. gear reduces damage as well)
