    Abstract:
    The idea is to create a blacksmith that wouldn't be a complete and total waste. We know that the stats you raise on a blacksmith dictates how well he will be able to "pull" potential from his creations. So, to simplify that statement for those that still don't get it or never played a Blacksmith, if your player uses DEX heavily.. when he creates something it will have more potential if the item is DEX related like a bow or gun. The only thing that a blacksmith can make that works for any character you may have... is ARMOR and that is VIT based. Selling armor... if done right and if the economy for this game stabilizes.. lol a VIT based Blacksmith can prove to be good for the pockets.

    Intro:
    This was my first character.. I got it to lvl 50 in a week or so. I realized that after hitting the lvl cap... you have a limited amount of Skill point and Stat points.. so spend wisely. I had to create a complete character that had a use even if I don't play it anymore out of boredom. Most people delete their characters... I don't intend to do so. lol

    I decided to go with blacksmiths because I want to sell ARMORs I'd get a kick out of people wearing my designer line or something along that idea. At first I made a TANK meat shield Blacksmith... seeing how it will have so much VIT .... but to make en effective TANK that can take hits and also solo... well... BS skills were to taxing.. so I made a simple lvl 50 BS.
    This BS will only be used for creating items and upgrading. I'll pay a BS to refine my equipment. Why? So that I'll have extra points to make this into a hybrid.

    Key:
    BS = Blacksmith
    TANK = Damage receiver and Aggro maintainer
    VIT = Vitality
    DEX = Dexterious

    Stats:
    100 - VIT
    42 - TECH
    One issue with Blacksmiths is the proficiency wall. If you spend some time in the forums you might see people talk about it specially for Production classes. You can lvl your proficiency by crafting. Unfortunately it is setup in a way that once you hit lvl 14 or 15 in proficiency there isn't an item you can craft that will give you enough experience to take you up a lvl. The next item requires you to have a proficiency lvl of 20. LOL This is a major issue if you were planning to skill this without dumping into a personal stat. Specially seeing how after crafting an item a couple times you gain less and less EXP to lvl eventually you make none.

    It is required for all BS once they hit the Proficiency wall to invest 10 points into the personal stat TEC. If you don't know about TECH personal points.. its stat points you can invest to affect special interest values. for TECH... it boosts Proficiency of BS or Alchemist. For every 2 points you invest into this personal stats you will get 1 lvl of Proficiency.

    This this is how I GOT my proficiency to lvl 15
    Because I farm Small Articles.. I get a lot of metal materials

    Shortsword < Longsword & Iron Knuckles (Small Hilt and Small Gloves, you can get them RUIN RAT in UNDERGROUND RUINS)

    Once you hit Proficiency of 15, Get the personal stat early and make it TEC. Invest 10 points and get to proficiency lvl 20 or how ever high you need to be to make the item you want.

    I did the LAZY THING and invested all of my proficiency to get to lvl 35... I remember resetting my stat points. It seems that WHAT YOU LEARN! as a master blacksmith you keep that knowledge even after you get amnesia. lol What I mean by that is.. After resetting my points my proficiency was still the same, it dropped but the hardwork I did from crafting I kept. That means.. I can RAISE my proficiency naturally... to 15... get over the wall... get to proficiency lvl 40 or 60 and undo my stats again and end up where I wont have to invest much in TEC and put it into VIT where it belongs. This requires real money and hard work... and obviously not the lazy thing to do. I will update this if I am right or wrong. BUT I did not hallucinate, I have a proficiency of 2 and a bunch into TEC back when I was experimenting, Once I reset my skills I realize... I was at proficiency 5... this lead me to believe.. that I keep the efforts of my hard work.

    So eventually I will go on a crafting spree. raise my proficiency to where I am comfortable with.. and restat my BS to make the most EFFICIENT BS I can make. LOL

    Skills:
    CRAFT - lvl 1 - You really don't need anymore than 1.
    REFINE EQUIPMENT - lvl 5 - Prerequisite for other skills, This build WONT BE REFINING!
    - NOVICE'S ANVIL - lvl 5 - Prerequisite
    - - CRAFTSMAN'S ANVIL - lvl 10 - This helps your proficiency
    - CREATE EQUIPMENT - lvl 10 - This helps the success rate of items you create in addition of the create ability
    - - CAREFUL CREATION - lvl 10 - This increases how much potential your items will have.. I don't see the effect much...
    - - UPGRADE EQUIPMENT - lvl 10 - This helps you add stats to your armor... I had extra so I maxed it.

    I plan on testing some things with the rest of my points.. I am sure they will release some update and I would want to spend those 25 point on something else.. I will leave this character as is... maybe... I will be updating this guide.
