The Lv150 Newb glass cannon~ (prepare to die)

Just wanted to share my Halberd build after playing around with different build types, take some criticism, maybe help a newb like myself that went through 30 resets trying to build something awesome with halb only to realize there's no good way to distribute the limited number of sp at lv150 and try to take assassin or arrow skills. Dagger was doable but i liked this better. It's so glassy it has glaucoma!

Sub: Storm Dagger
Arm: Adventurers garb Full Crit 13
Add: Tyrant Mask
Ring: Muscle talisman IV/Machina Ring(for xtals)

Star Gems: Just 1 Refex Lv1, Price=1.1-2m

Combo 1 GSW>QuickAura(swift)>Warcry(save)>Kairiki(con)>Impact(con)>DT(smite)>Finale(smite) 1.5mp
Quick aura, warcry and kairiki can be switched around with each other, I like kairiki where it is for the extra second or two after combo for auto hits.
OR
Combo 1 Impact>DT(smite)>Finale(smite) 4.5-5mp

Combo2 Reflex>impact(save)>decoy(swift) 3mp

Note: i don't have brave aura, not sure but on a whim opted for kairiiki instead >~>

Anyways that's that, throw tomatoes at it or praise me :3
Also this build is super temporary until i get to 180 and can build the super awesome assassin halb im picturing in my head. Was gonna do 1h assassin i felt it had too many options and i didn't wanna waste all my resets....did that anyway with halb xD

Edit: Did not remove dagger. While it's not the best dagger example i did noticed a lack of performance with it removed. Better to have it equipped than not even with 5sp in two handed.

 

Decoy combo : Reflex > Impact(save) > Decoy(Swift), this is increase the Decoy motion.

Dagger from Burble should be better, atk 150 above and give ATk and Cd Boost.

Wait for P.Avatar return and begging her to give your her helbard, is the best ever halber so far.

 

Use warcry of struggle if you do 1mp long range combo

 

Have you try use devil circlet (drop from the miniboss or crafted from npc bs )
but you will lose -25 crt rate which you can replace it with food buff (10 crt rate lvl 5) and bear heat (15 crt rate)

 

You can't use bear hat and devil circlet at the same time haha

Sorry my bad, i bet theres a plenty of xtal that can provide +15 crt rate . Hmm, maybe gespt II ?
*oh dang, gesp II has 10 crt rate. Hmmm.

I like the sound of that as an ender for combo1 do you mean in general however to just use it after combo?

Seele Zauga should be good, and way cheaper than Gesp II. Also 2s special gear is cheap (Machina Ring).

Wcos recovers net 200mp each cast if your HP is about half and below. Use it manually. Plus with gsw the animation time would be even faster

 

You should say it’s way more cheaper then Megiston !!!!

 

Keep in mind that you need 100MP to recover 300MP, so never completely drain your MP. I often forgot this when solo farming with Luk halb xD

 

I'm starting to think I don't need decoy xD I'll have to play around with it and see if I can personally rely on it

Hmmm now I'm thinking If I get rid of shot skills all together I can grab that brave aura and switch from long to short range use with the assassin skills x3

 

You'll lose 10% DT damage if you don't take Long Range. Also being close ranged means more chance of getting hit, and the aura skills get removed just by 1 hit. It's completely up to you whether you want to keep Decoy or not.

 

I'll have to play around with wcos and see if I'm comfortable managing it enough to get rid of decoy. As for the long range I guess I'll keep that >~> I like dmg.

 

Halb isn’t for close range imo, mid and long range suits it. Also crit gear and halb is heavenly, the best choice I did, but u need hp. I used pirate bandana +20 assasin garb +15. Crit/15% phys pierce/ 15% anticipate, Choco lance +30crit, Demi knife +5 crit( will swap with dagger from venena when I reach that far in mq lol) and chocolate talisman II for hp, I plan to pirce it and add venena because I am kinda restricted mo wise ftw. But if you’re crit greedy you can use pendulum that gives an addditional +5 crit . Halb arrow has more variety imo. It’s better to keep, halb dagger fees limited combo wise
