First of all your attitude towards players who reached lvl 150 above isnt helping. Generalizing us all wont help you at all.
Toram became relatively easy when they introduce the separate main quest per character. Before you have to decide which of your characters gets to do the new mq to lvl up. We have to farm huge iron balls from fort solfini for 8 hrs a day just to reach 130 which you can now do in 2 days by doing mq and fighting york+lapin+tapir.

Cant reach 150? Heres what you can do.
*used your 140+ mage and farm nc. You just need a few hundred stks to reach 150.

*create a new character. Do the main quest. Do bosses. Then use book of oblivion and stat reset to make it to your liking. I did this on my new account. Made a 1h+shield semi dps tank. Then reset to a statter after reaching 170.

*find an active guild. But dont expect too much on other people. After all we all have different reasons why we play. Some wants to cap. Some want to chill. Some wants to look pretty. Some just wants to piss other players.

If I only have time, but im quite busy (or struggling rather, im piss poor ingame) and in turn i became stingy towards other players. Although, when I finally decided to help, the game gets a bit kinder for some reason since im getting xtals haha

Actually its very easy lvling to 150 and you can do it solo. just using 2 mercenary (2hand user) + 1 pet (buy in board) to help you lvling in normal mobs.

Finish all mq with 1 char> create new char> save new mq for later> lvl 1-142 farm normal mobs> after that finish mq. so easy, dont even need help from anyone.

The biggest issue i see here is that you're trying to join parties, instead of proactively "finding" a party that you can stay in.

People hate being leader more than they hate being in a party with people without Tier 4 skills. If you get kicked from parties, why don't you form your own? Invite people looking for a party instead of trying to get into one. The party leader is a position that no one can kick you from... and most of the time people won't leave cuz looking for another party... or oh noes, heaven forbid... leading their own party... is something we all hate.

However, your attitude is also not fit for playing MMORPGs. Roleplaying games have many aspects of real life in them. Everyone will still be thinking of themselves to climb to the top. If you think that you are priviledged to special treatment just because you "are weaker", then you've defeated your own goal of "accomplishing what you can by your own power". People who feel their entitled to special treatment cuz they're weaker (ie. extreme feminists - OK I'm a girl, but they still piss me off) would just end up having more people dislike and reject them.

So... basically just make your own party instead of hoping there will be a party that will affect you. Sure, your leveling speed will be much lower than leeching with a tank + 2 finale party, but hey those parties are formed for the sake of efficiency. You gotta make the best out of what you're given, instead of expecting that it'll be the same with everyone else.

And for the record, as a Tier 4 skill user, I don't kick Tier 3 skill users in general. I kick people who spam physical skills and ruin proration, regardless of what skills they have. I kick people who refuse to change their playstyle/combo to fit with the party/boss (hello people who stun/tumble/flinch Iconos under half HP). I guide the boss's AOEs to kill those who are annoying and brag about their non-existent "skills" (ie. Katana users that brag about their DPS but fall last on the charts then whine not full breaking).

Your overall argument is sound save for the group example of what pisses you off but that may just be personal opinion. That movement is pretty divided actually and I am generally pissed off by a few aspects of the most commonly accepted portion of the movement (most commonly referred to as "liberal feminism", its a bit different than classical liberalism). But if you really want to see a group/movement that'll really piss you check out the incel movement/group. It's stomach turningly stupid, illogical and will piss you off. And that's about all I'm willing to continue on about politics here.

I'm a veteran, 3 years and a couple of months since my first log in and I would never say something like that to a newbie. Also tbh I have a level 150 char but I haven't played much since I reached that level and have no combo to work with my finale so unless I party with guild mates(Which I usually do) or friends I guess I would be kicked out.

I think I've said it few times on other posts but, make a tank as your first lvl 150 char to be, a tank doesn't need to have tier 4 skills to make it work, save some mq to get through some level range with hard bosses(either hard to fight or lack of people to party with)
Such as level 130-134 and 142-144

The problem about being a tank is that it requires an understanding of the mechanics in game such as resistance, aggro generation, etc. Most of the time, people (especially newbies) haven't understood these mechanics. Tank skills are also quite complicated compared to other games. If they become a tank without understanding how it works or how they should play, well in the end it would be just the same. Finding a party as a tank is easier, but would people accept a bad tank? Some do, since it can be quite hard to find one. Others don't since they want fast/efficient runs.

Once you do understand the mechanics, well you're good to go. My lv60 tank (only 4k HP with Vita3) can stand against Tyrant hard without losing aggro, unless lag spikes come in.

Three words: Level, 70, Katana, Skills. That, and Regeras, are all anyone who can learn quickly and has good observation and memorization skills, and a bit of time, would need to reach Lv. 150 for the coveted Tier 4 Skills. ;)
Ah, seriously, that last one... Why don't they just tank themselves instead of looking for one if they're so good at it?
Remember Tank Lesson #1 and 2. Tanks know everything, and they're the unconditional leader of any group, so they can easily make others follow their directions.

If those DPS think they're special and ignore your directions, remind them of DPS Lesson #1, and... you know the rest.

Most suggestions here are swell and all, but that doesn't help the original poster if all we would be recommending is making a different character.

To the Original Poster, if you want to continue being a mage, there was one suggestion in here that would really help you, and that is the use of mercenaries/pets/partners.

Since you are level 140 now, i would suggest farming the mobs in Noeliel Castle: 2ndFlr for exp then sell the sacred snow that it drops for spina. These should be in high demand.

Use the spina to buy NC/HIB/Walnuts to level at your own leisurely pace.

    Hey Im Go
I can agree with making a tank as your first, not really first but second character. First char is to hunt those drop equipment for your tank. I as well struggle from getting the tier 4 with my 2h(My first char). some of the tier 4 players kicked me every god damn time. tier 3 suck. at York's level I waited for hours looking for a tank. its obvious its hard to tank as a DPS at York. so all of the dps peeps out there looking for pt hoping a tank would invite them. instead of wasting my time there, I decided to make a vit/tank smith (might as well) and ofcourse doing the MQ from the beginning, with the help of my 2h, and my guildies/friends mercs. (finish MQ in a day, its easy). its way faster, all the tier 4 never leave, as they need tank to level despite my low aggro. instead of waiting for pt, you're the one inviting them for pt. I'm pretty sure you'll be picky this time since your the only tank available.

Dusk Machinma is awkward to fight, save your MQ at that level.

I recommend to get 1h shield tank so you can spam warcry for aggro. Get toy hammer too.
I wish you good luck on your Toram journey

Also note, I'm only telling my experienced to get to tier 4 :D good day peeps.

    Well you're right

It is not a newbie friendly game

You were right if you said it 3 years ago.

Ever since there are lots of tier 4 users and the merc system, one can reach to 150 in a week or less

And if you're still studk at 140

Try maton (you're a mage so ready your magic lance for STOP ability)

This is why I never socialize with other player in a MMORPG game, I will rather playing solo instead together with a friend or party member. No even to mention I dont have one :(

Then you'll be having a hard time here.

Its easier and faster with a party mate

Its easy to solo if you have a merc..... and depending on your role... you can only go solo as far as..... idk, maybe level 60-94

Just typel lfp or lfm, you're good to go

True on the easier and faster with a party mate. But on the limits of the solo player... TL;DR, being a solo player might be hard, but it's not impossible to reach lvl cap alone.
Disclaimer: While I do like soloing for the most part, I don't know anymore if I could be called a solo player since I do join random parties occasionally, and I party up a lot with my friend who's an amazing tanker. Maybe not a total one at least... and calling myself a solo player doesn't mean that I'm ungrateful for all the assistance I got from friends and former guildmates up to this point in time.

Taken to an extreme logic, it's completely possible for a player to level to the current level cap all by themselves. The catch is, it'll take them a freaking long time to defeat bosses by themselves, because they're doing everything by themselves. Especially on higher difficulties, where a single misstep is a one-shot kill. Just look at this pic from after I fought Mozto Machina Ultimate on my own!
    Screenshot_2018-11-26-12-37-50.png
10% EXP per run... is not bad, I guess :D

If I could, I'd have shared a recording instead, but I'm running Toram on a potato tablet (8inch, Jellybean, 1GB RAM), so... :(
They'll need a lot of free time to play Toram to level up to cap. Not to mention that not all weapons/sub weapons can do it. Katana is one, because of Magadachi and Zantei Settetsu. One-Handed Sword with Shield is another... just look at D.Song's videos. I can't say much on that one since I've never been a fan of the 1H/Shield DPS, or Shields in general... except for Zoe's Magic Book. :p

Outside of battle, Spina will be harder as well, so solo players need to be thrifty. Like taking Regeras over Revitas and EBs, only using the latter when they are in a total pinch, where the HoT from Regera will not heal them fast enough. Buying player-made custom gears would take a while too, unless they're extremely lucky and they got some important Crystas (Ganglef, Ancient Empress, Grass Dragon Yelb, Nurethoth) while doing the Story Quest or while grinding... also gotta have to settle for some outdated gears instead of the latest ones, meaning less DMG, meaning much longer times needed to clear bosses at much higher levels.

The only "limits" of the solo player that I could see are those badly designed "Event Battles"... seriously, Suzuki P. needs to get his head checked by the universe's best neurologists, those Event battles are worse designs compared to the Unknown from Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep (Talking about the original fight in the English Version for the PSP; they made that fight a teeny bit easier on the Final Mix) or maybe No Heart from the Final Mix of the same game, on the Japanese PSP version...

Also, might be missing a lot more points, but character limits exist, so I'm cutting it here... for now.

Somebody tell me that 0 DMG taken, not even from Ignite, while full breaking Maton Sword is a bad thing...

It honestly depend on the player.

If a player is a experience solo MMORPG then they could probably be fine.

I personally play solo until lvl 150, starting from there, imo too hard to keep play solo and its wasting time

I did main quest first now I'm just doing nc quest.
A level a day personally because I get to bored to go further.
I tried the way in videos like that before, but didn't work well. I'm glad quest like nc ones exist. Could try the quest that gives exp.
Compared to other mmos Toram is very very newbie friendly. Gives you a chance to catch up.
Things are really too easy even especially with effort put in. Like it gives you more alternatives.
    Currently a lvl 128 mage.
Storm is your friend for a while.
