The Paladin Build - Guide for Tanks

    Gloria need to be cast right after you being chase. It give you DEF and block chance to deal with normal hit from boss. Since no one get hit by boss skill except dash and armor break.

    The build as it is is based on your combat forte, and the fact that you were lucky on getting eerie xD, anyways, it is a great build, I would recommend on fixing it for normal players who don't have much luck, and try looking at it on a perspective in which players can deal with only the basic requirements for it.
    Just my personal advice xD

    The Build stated in OP was made for new players which only uses magic swordman's ring instead of something more expensive.

    Equipment:
    Accordion Fold Sword (Cheap, 4 leaf clover can be free given by some players)
    Brutal Dragon Cape (takes some time, lv 35 or so should be able to get it)
    Shell Shield (probably lv 40+ to get this)
    Plat Armor (crafted by NPC) (More expensive, you can use warrior chest the basic gear)
    Magic Swordman's Ring (2Ks to buy 99 Pebble)

    No this is a bad idea because the boss sometimes might case spell rightaway on you. You could eat fireball in the face.

    i tweaked your build in my mind and found something that might be considered an alternative for the less fortunate ones.. its the survival skill tree.. 15 points for little additional HP regen (out of combat) and 1000 HP (combat effective) - versus - 15 points for shield skill tree, taking shield mastery lvl5 and force shield lvl10..

    shield mastery = -10% aspd penalty for equiping shield per skill point
    force shield = +3 DEF and 50HP per skill point

    that gives you half aspd penalty, +30DEF and 500HP, plus, all of them are combat effective.. or use the spare skill points you are reserving for future updates..

    i would love to hear your comment, critics, suggestions and violent reaction on this one.. thats all.. thanks.. :D

    actually from my testing, my tanker had 180 def and went up to 220 def with force shield at lv 6.
    Now i have force shield at lv 10 and w.o shield equipped i have 281 and with shield equipped i have 329 def.
    So its mot a hard def gain but a +% gain so assuming maybe +17% def at lv 10? Of course these numbers are just speculation but its definitely based on % not hard numbers.

    Is the skill Gloria based on int? Can sumbody confirm this... im making a different kind of tank btw. Gonna post my build if true.

    Gloria is only based on the skill level, from my testing. At level 10 it multiplies both your def and mdef by 300%. At level 5 it was probably at 200%.

    To take real advantage of gloria you really need to invest in vit to have a high starting def. When my def went from say 150 -> 450 I didn't notice too significant a decrease in damage. Maybe I should have tested more. However, if you went from 450 def to 1350 def I would imagine the decrease would be much more significant.

    Its ttrue, only based on skill level, and the reductiom gets significant only after 1000+ imo. Gold skel's AOE hits for 600(normally 1000+) at 1100ish def. which is not alot but still noticeable.

    I only see Gloria working when I use an int char.
    Its bugged on my vit char. Well, not sure if its bugged, or only works with int...

    Hmm.

    Maybe the def stat is bugged but not mdef? Tho the DMG seems fair to me anyway, u could test it by not equipping and armour so u have 0def then equipping armour and use gloria etc

    Yeah that's why I'm puzzled, if Gloria is a int based scaling skill.
    Oh well. Haha, nice job on your tank. :) Love my tank too. Tankers ftw.

    It shouldn't be int based as it affects def and mdef directly and ty:) havnt got any defense skills yet as I heard they were bugged

    All of them I think, I just didn't use any because I didn't know specific ones, I havnt even got that heavy armour skill lol

    Well, I know Protection actually lowers physical damage a bit (or am I too hopeful?) Haven't used Aegis or Heavy Armor yet.
    Having tried a two-hander with Parry, I've never seen Parry proc... Have no idea if this works, or how.

    One of my guildmated tried my theorized build...int 100 then rest vit. Accrding to him using buffs (gloria, protection, agies) gave him def 300+ and mdef 600+...i think he only put lvl 5 on all of those skills. I WILL POST MY THEORIZED BUILD
