The Unknown Place and Offerings Trick (Getting Stockings)

Ho ho ho! Xmas event is up! All of people will busy with xmas quest. What? Collecting materials for xmas quest is hard? Just want to let you guys know, xmas quest is continous quest compare to nc/bnut quest that is 1-time quest. Continous quest is will be repeated if you abandoned it, unlike 1-time quest, your goal remain the same even you abandon the quest. In that case, you just need to abandon the quest after you got the stocking right after the quest updated. Take the quest again and repeat the step. Ta~da! All you have to do is farm the first materials list that the npc ask from you.

Step 1:

Collect as much as you can the materials that event npc ask from you and find the npc that can bake cakes (Frente)

Step 2:

Once you talked to Frente, turn in the quest item to Nicola, event npc.

This is the amount of stockings that I have before I turn the quest in.

This is the amount I got after turn in the quest. But the quest title and objective been updated after you finish the quest scene. Anyway, just abandon that quest and redo.

Final step:

Just repeat the step 1 to step 4.

The cake baking was the first part of the quest, not the whole quest, but you are rewarded the stockings part by part, not at the end of the whole quest. I think she means farm as much nut sour nut chicken meat and flower nectar(the items for the first part, which is cake baking), after she gives you the stocking from that 1st part of the quest, abandon the rest of the quest(the other parts) and restart the quest again, and can repeatedly get the stockings by turning in the items(the nut sour nut chicken meat and flower nectar) that you farmed already

Not worth it. It is better to continue the quest till the end. The reason why I say this is because in the first quest, all the mats listed there were uncommon drops while the rest continuation of the quest only need mats that easily drop by the mobs.

 

Everyone has their own perspective, so no offense I posted this to tell that it easy for me and share the way of the trick done. If you think your way are the best way, go ahead. I won't judge. I'm just sharing what I found out and this trick maybe can be use on future side/event quest

Just wondering, r u farming the mats or buy it because for nut, you farm it from colon at land under development so at the same time you also got the next quest mats which is colon leaf. And for sour nut, you farm it from pomum at wanderers camp and at the same time you also got pomum leaf. While there, you can also farm wolly for soft fur and for fluffy fur you can farm either lavarca at rakau or euris at Lonogo. After you got all this you just need to run around inside sofya meeting with frente, lefina and sololo just to complete the whole quest.

 

Collecting stars would likely be slower. assuming u take 1 minute per boss (including cut scenes), you would need 150min (2hrs 30min) to collect enough for the daily quota of 5 stocking.
NC farming was told to me by a friend to be around 1 stk /hr (3 stocking). So 5 stocking would be around 1hr 40min
Mini Boss farming might be viable if you are in party that can solo one boss by themselves and each member kills one within 30 seconds. that would be around 19 mins, though it is highly unlikely due to the way mini bosses spawn. You'll end up spending alot of time looking for the mini bosses. This is not viable without a party as the bosses wont spawn fast enough.

Besides, turning in 30 stars for 1 stocking would be the worst way to spend stars
if u follow the main event quest, 3 stars (plus other mats) would give u 5 stocking (5 event items)
If you do the new quest, 15 stars (max difficulty) will give u 11 snowman plus 8 chests to open for event items.

While i agree with you that the mats can be collected along the way, the tip can still useful for some people. for example
- Those who have limited storage / bag. the mats for continuation takes up alot of space 1 stacks leafs = 9.9 turn ins vs 1 stk nut = 33 turn ins vs 1 stk sour nuts = 49 turn ins vs 1 stk flower nectar = 99 turn ins. Not talking about the mats for quest 3 as you will still need to stock the leafs required for quest 2 first.
- Those who prefer simplicity. The fur mats are on the same maps for the nuts and close to town, but they are still a separate farm, it's not like they spawn in the exact same place as the nuts
- One way people can use the tip is to farm for quest 1 (they will get some extra mats for quest 2 due to proximity of the monsters) then turn in up to quest 2 until no more mats for quest 2, den just turn in quest 1.

Personally, i'm doing all the way as i still have some stoarge to stock. Anyway she's just sharing her own experience, no need to be hard up about right or wrong.
