Ultimate Pets?

I have a pet tamer/ luck shield mage character that I've caught a few pets with. Most notably as of yet is a manticore with an average 88 potential to start.
STR 87, INT89, etc... This is before training. It's max level is 106.
It is my understanding from reading and from leveling my first manticore pet to 59 that your pet gets 1/100th of it's potential every level. My plan to start (first 50% or so of training) is to stat it out at 100 four of the five stats, and 150 for the main stat (due to skills, it doesn't matter str or int, but I will go str since he is a 1H attacker atm). So This manticore will look something like STR 150, INT 100, VIT 100, AGI 100, DEX 100 (150? 1H ruled by DEX?) when it gets done training. Pretty nice. My ranged manticore has a 206 dex, but mid 40's for stats. Now, speaking of my ranged manticore; it currently has 175 DEX and does a healthy 777 ATK. It only has a 28Vit and 1084 HP.

Now, as I've said, you get 1/100th of each pot every level. Which should mean that a pet with 100 in all it's stats, when reaching level 106, should be completely PAST capping out. In fact, every pet should be past cap when it passes level 100. PLUS you get one stat per level. So the question I have is: what happens with these super pets' stats? Do they stop when they hit potential? Or is it potential PLUS the points per level.

The difference is basically a 150/100/100/100/100 pet versus a 255/107/106/106/106 pet. Which, obviously is a huge difference. If you understand or have leveled up one of these uber pets, and know the answer, please reply and let us know what you have found to be true. Speculation is nice, and I like dreaming about my 255 stat pet with 106+ in all other stats, but if it is not going to happen, then I don't want to get my hopes up. But if it is going to happen, I want to inform guild mates as well as the rest of Toram players how this mechanic works.

I've already found that the starting level of RAGE and what not goes up past 5 with experience, so I am curious about the stats going above their starting potential.

They dont stop when they hit potential provided u distribute the points before the stats reaches 255. Once its stats reaches 255, u cannot distribute points to that stat anymore. However stats will still continue to increase everytime u lvl up due to potential points distribution per lvl if u havent reached lvl 100. And yes, if u lvled ur pet BEYOND 100 (to 106), potential will continue to increase to 106 for example ^^

Looking at the information u gave me, 255 with 106 in all other stats can happen ^^
Also, if u want supersuper pets, u should fuse them as fusing gives u additional stats points to distribute, additional bonus potential, the chance to choose ur desired stats between the 2 parents pets, and the chance to dye your pets. (no more hell trying to catch the very perfect pet).

Thank you HaruChan for the information. It is my understanding that FUSING should only be done after leveling up as it caps the pet's max level based on current level. Meaning that if I fuse two pets right away, I end up with a level 1 max pet. So one would need to level up two pets to swap the nature around.
I guess hunting a Genius/Sly would take quite some time as well. (or one of the four that can dodge all aoe's).
I think I understand the benefit of FUSING & just re-read the guide on pay to win... ok, you still only get 150 max stats bonus from using orbs to train (so might as well do good food and hard)... sorta mis-understood what you could do with orb spending.

Looking at non-orb spending, you have 120 + 3*47 (141 - 6% for skills) = 261 * 1.3 = 339 stat, ore-fusion. So I can see your 477 is much nicer after fusion. But it did mean you had to level up two pets, correct?

I do wonder if it is best to simply train two skills since you can only fuse one per pet anyway?

Yup no p2w for pets ~ i didnt spend orb for pet at all.

Yup lvl up 2 pets to do fusion. After fusion it becomes lvl 1 again so u needa lvl the fused one up to max again x.x

Yup that is a way to maximize the potential points u can get.

 

Attack power can only be leveled on "virgin" pets level. (Im referring to the one on the lower left corner of the pet stat window) After fusion, attack power (im referring to damage output) can only be boosted by training/leveling and stats. You can only upgrade a stat till 250, but as your pet level up the stat continue to grow so it's important to cap the stat as soon as possible so that every level up of the pet will add more to the capped stat which of course add more damage output of your pet.
In fusing pets, every calculation is mostly addition(stats adds up to the next so its best to fuse similar stat for better boost) level formula is (pet 1 current level +pet 2 current level) ÷ 2 + 1 = fused pet max level so its best to always cap your pets for OP damage.

 

Dumb question, is there a limit to how many times you can fuse your pets? HaruChan's Caspy has a "Fusion: 7" there. Does that mean she made fusion 7 times??

 

First there is no known limit to the number of fusion of pets othere than your pocket.since it definetly goes up in every fusion. Haru chans pet is fused 7 times (it also mean that she used 8 pets as of this point)

 

Fused 7 times means 15 pets cuz u need 2 pets per fusion

Odd, i used 4 pets and it counted as 3 fusions already.

Im practically half way but my lion still needs a lot of work. I still have to cap my magic lance skill which is a total nightmare and i still got 3 more level to go on that one. Once i capped my lion, then i can start grinding a second batch of pets to be fuse so i can hit 200 power in one fusion, hopefully this batch will contain all the gap fillers i need. (Pink pet dye b, magic lance, steady nature). And hopefully the batch after that (which contain 8pets) will hit the 400 mark in one fusion.

 

You get level 130 pets for freeeeeeeee!
Once you capped a main char to level 130 that is. Max level of stray is based on your max level but only every 10 levels. If your level is 129, the max level of stray that wander to your land will still be at level 120.

 

Time will only tell if my lowly luckmage can farm ifrid casually with only pet mp charge and pet heal in tow. Im not a rank hogger so im ok with just what loots any boss run drops.

After futher analisys my "pyramid" fusion method have the same number of pets needed. But i now see that my method requires more grinding time per fused pet.
