Unexpected Magic CRT

Hello everyone!
So I tried to test a build with the new Sacred Ice Spear from Noeliel and noticed that after punishing ray my magic skills' (such as magic arrows) dmg appeared in yellow.
DontD know if this is a bug, a Sacred Ice Spear's effect o a halberd's featured not yet explored.
Unfortunately, my just dced and can't get back in atm so I will keep testing later on.

Edit: I finally logged back in and this magic crt thing keeps happening. The thing is whenever it happens, my arrow'' dmg drom from 1'5k per tick to 500 per tick so I might need to test further with crt dmg years and full int rest str stats.

Edit2: The magic crt happens only at 1/10 rate or so even at 100 crt rate from gears but punish ray seems to boost it up to 1/3 or so.

If this is true, Halberd x Magic Device might be a thing now, if possible to use MD as sub on a halberd...

 

The only subs I know Halberd can use are dagger or arrow.

Thats pretty cool if halberds can make magic crits. have u tried using storm ?

 

Not atm because the magic arrow skill was only meant as a cimbo opener, but once I do further testing I'll upload a video.

The total crit rate for magic is halved, still it's pretty strange for it to crit even without weaken and the advantage element.

 

maybe it's a bug, like the slotted shields.
i hope it's not...

tried it myself, using the sacred ice spear, but nothing happened.
guess this is related to Punish Ray.
maybe the skill was updated to work with the upcoming spellburst and it could be an unnoticed bug that allows magic crit without meeting the requirements.

 

I guess P.ray allowing magic skills to crit does make sense due to it's ability to be used with a 1h sword, the intended weapon if the magic blade skills. This could also be why P.ray's damage increases a little bit with INT.

 

Reminds me of an old idea I had, trying to have the highest possible crit rate and trying to make magic skills crit. Had this idea even before Magic Blade skills came out. Maybe try using Toy Hammer with Punish Ray and crit add gear, see if it can also crit.

 

Maybe is a bug. It only happened while fighting Decel and the mobs in fiery volcano (fire element) while using the sacred ice spear (water element).
I also notice that quick draw procced some times after using magic arriws. Ins't it supposed nit to work on magic skills?
Anyway the game is bugged af and don't seems to proc anymore on the last 2 h.
I think imma record some battles and hope for it to proc...

 

Atm I still testing using Halberd just in case it only works for them.

 

Impossible to happen without a weaken user. If its happening then it is 100% a bug since you are saying the damage reduced instead of getting boosted.

Quick draw works with any skill as long as it is an attacking skill that costs mp to use.

If I had to guess it'd be something like, let's make magic skills have a -250% crit rate nobody can get that much crit.
Now you probably went over that limit and so got the rare crit
