Weak katana character

Hello, I'm new to the forum and I hope to find good, I decided to sign up for help: I have a character with mononofu skill level 100, I can not level with main quests because I'm stuck at coenubia. I do not do much damage, my build is full DEX and I'm starting to increase STR, I have a lil empress katana 97 attack, why this inconvenience? How can I level? Sorry for my ignorance about everything. I'll really appreciate if someone decides to help me.

 

do you have the skill "Two handed" at level 10? It is very important for katana's. Also make sure your katana is refined. In addition, what skills are you using for dps? Zantei Settetsu is very powerful if you time the counterattack correctly. Katana damage is also very much improved by unsheathe stats.

 

I have Two Handed at level 5,thanks for the advice .
I use Settetsu lv. 10 and Hasso Happa lv. 5, what are unseathe stats ?

Its a stats that applies on unseathe skills. Which most mononofu skills are.
Did you time the Zantei? Zantei settetsu also needs to be timed as a counter attack to deal huge damage

You can also set the bosses to easy mode, you can get through it with no problem since is considerably easier compared to normal mode

 

Yes, I know how Settetsu works, but since it does not cost a few MP the bosses (even in easy mode) end up hitting and killing me

 

You should also max Shukuchi. This skill adds a lot of AMPR (mp gained back by auto attacking) when you dash toward a target, and then perform an auto attack. If you continue to do this, you can get a lot of mp back quickly, making it easier to use skills, especially zantei. Unsheathe stats are gained from multiple sources, one of which is crystas and gears, and another is the Dual Sword skill tree. The skills "Godspeed" and "Flash blast" add large boosts to unsheathe damage.

 

Hmm, you can also try your luck and start normal mode hoping there would be a seconday party to carry you haha, use mercenaries to make it look convincing. Normal mode is easy for most players so they usually don't use ally system and go straight to the battle

Are there any monsters I could kill to gain some experience (possibly not bosses)? Besides the refinement, is there anything else I should do to my katana or my equipment in general?

What armor, additional, and special equips are you using?

 

Holy Robe 88 Defense, Top Hat and Magician's bangle .

 

Are you using npc version of holy robe or player statted one? The best armor stats for katana players is usually either Criticaldamage7%criticaldamage+17criticalrate+17Criticalrate17% or Dex7%Crdmg7%cdmg+17, depending on how much critical rate you already have. The same with katana stats, it's either cdmg7%cdmg+17critrate+17cditrate17% or atk7%cdmg+17critrate+17cditrate17%. You can replace Magician's bangle for a dexterity or muscle talisman to get more dex or str.

 

Where and how can i find an armor or katana with those stats ?

Edit: I can't remember if muscle and dexterity talisman give a MP boost , do they?

They do. Also you can buy those gears on consignment board, lil empress series being the latest gear

 

You can buy them from the consignment board, but the latest stats like the one I mentioned(+17) are expensive, costing 1.5-2.5m~ But you can also find the ones with +16, +15, +14, etc. stats, those are cheaper, also the latest muscle or dexterity talisman gives 500 mp

Ok being a newbie i know how difficult it can be if you are new to game and ktn is first class you choose. Tbh this class is quite complicated for a newbie. I will give you one good piece of advice "get a good guild" , a guild where people are willing to help you. I was clueless then joined my guild .... Believe it was a great help , they helped with whatever i needed like ktn builds, videos on how skills work , leveling, information, avatar, equips(best ones, only condition i need to return it after i graduate from being a newbie and get my own stuff), etc.
There are many good and helpful guilds out there who can help you!
