weird Sneak Attack?

I let my halberd guy use it but the effect was quite disappointing.
The boss was aggroing my tank , but whenever i tested Sneak Attack, boss would turn its direction to my halberd user. (Sneak attack is placed in 2nd slot of the combo, i already tested that same combo without Sneak Attack and the boss didnt aggro my character)
That makes me wondering if Sneak Attack really reduces aggro or increases it more.
Any other experiences?

So sneak attack itself has a certain amount of aggro generation since it uses MP like any other skill. (especially on none bow/gun users 2MP vs 4MP)
I made the experience that it's usually enough to do one manual sneak (after someone else skilled already) then use the sneak combo.
On short fights, that one manual sneak is usually enough to prevent the boss from targeting me.

 

I was wanting to gain less aggro and it actually gave me more, and wait, cost me 10 SP to learn. Time to remake a character. This is so lame for a 400 Mp skill.

 

that's why it has better effect on bow/gun char ^^
It only costs 2mp and produces less aggro itself then

 

what norc says is true, it takes away only 600 agro with halberd and produces 400 agro. and i dont think it cancels its own agro. so if you use it in combo u gona have to wait for other party member to spam first an accumulate some agro so boss wont turn on you.
i used it with 2h it works like i said but the animation is very slow for most people's liking
