What are some good combos only using sword skills?

I'd like to make a pure 2-handed sword build without using skills from other weapon trees such as impact, quick aura, etc. What skills should I focus on in the sword skill tree? What combos can I make with it?

 

Astute, trigger, tempest. Since you don't want other tree skill. Can max hardhit too. Deals good dmg

So maybe something like: Hard Hit > Tempest (save) > Astute (cons.) > Trigger (cons.)?
Should I throw War Cry in there?

 

You can but tempest is actually a dps 2h skill. So I wouldn't recommend using it as a save tags. And since you don't wanna use impact, It'll be impossible to make a smite tempest 1mp skill.

 

Hmm what about rampage as a save skill?

I know impact in general is a really good skill for combos, but I want to keep this build pure of other weapon skill trees. I guess you could say it's like an OCD thing. I'd be fine with adding in some knight skills if those would help with combos outside of the sword skills.

Yeah I know. I'm not looking to min-max. I'm fine with that

 

You could use Heavy Smash or Sanctuary as your saver so that your combo can be 1mp, but they are really slow.

A good 2mp 2h combo I like to use is: Hard Hit/Holy Fist> War Cry (save)> Astute (consecutive)> Tempest Sword (smite)> Trigger Slash (consecutive). This combo being 2mp isn't that big of a deal since you get the AMPR bonus from Trigger Slash, but you could always swap it with Astute if you want Tempest Sword to be faster.

 

You can't save rampage. Hell you can't even use in a combo. Most USELESS skill in Toram

Random idea for a 1mp combo might be assault attack-hard hit(cons)-trigger slash(con). That way you have a chance to interrupt some attacks(knockback) & still deal dmg.

 

hh>warcry(save)>astute(cons)>spiral(cons)>trigger(cons)>tempest(smite)>sonic(cons)

That's saying the skill after is even worthwhile

 

It's hard to make pure blade combo. If no flinch is needed, hard hit will be eliminated.
