What class should i bother with?

So i just hit 150 with my main tank~ got that, got a luk mage and i have a blank slate Lv123. I was thinking a smith or a dps but throw your suggestions at meh x3

 

CF bow, dw or DT halberd are best dps right now imo

 

I really do wanna make a dw but im too lazy to lvl grind the tank to 170 anytime soon xD i hate grinding~

 

Oh and also, is finale mage so bad now? after getting my tier 4 i equipped my queen staff and went to iconos to test it out and was hitting 160k finale's regularly >~> is that bad? xD AND this was my luk mage with full Luk rest INT at Lv126

If you haven't you can create a techsmith for refining and making potions, potions such as gigaspeed and power candy sells quite well. You can also do gear synthesis, you can also play it as poor man's tank with minimum aggro skills. If to you want to go on full production class smith you can play CF str dex Smith or Vit armor smith(you don't have to level this one)

 

Unlike luck mage, making a techsmith requires tec to the brim(coz it also used as an gear upgrade char) finale was op for the crappy dps class, thus capping one is easier back then. Nowadays the prime alternative is to be a fairy gunner or dt(same setup diffrent weapon and atk stat) comparing them and the adaptation to it can make one cry

 

You only need a toyhammer, warcry, berserk and p.def for a TEC tank, and keep leeching off others, as long as you can hold aggro you'll be fine. A DPS tecsmith is more of a leech than a simple, yet effective aggro holder

 

Woe is me a mere soloist.

 

The op has a tank as a main, so I assume that he is not a solo player. Plus tanks are more about gears anyway, take a bunch of resist equipments and you're good to go

 

I am a pet based player, at best i can spam pet support skill on my vampire pet and prorate. (Yeah, im the dude seated in the back of the class that thows paper projectile to the teacher in the front kinda guy)

 

Get a dps character^^/.
Halberd is shinning once more and considered the strongest dps class right now.(quite expensive to build one tho)

Bow dps, no nerf from crossfire and decoy. Stil hits hard with budget equipments. The most popular class atm.

Dual wield, yeah the grind for 170 skills takes time but worth it you know.

Katana, the nerf on tenryu ain't that much, it still hits hard unless doing nightmare and ultimate mode that has ridiculous defense.

Mage is a burst type class and the finale nerf on 2nd and 3rd hit is terrible but it still hits hard because of the 1st hit damage. (My tech bs is max tech>int because i want to craft staff also while dealing decent damage with decent int on top of it. Did not do dex, no intention to do 4 locks to begin because of the current recipe required to raise it.)

2 hand is good as a dps and also useful as a semi tank when party has no tank.

They're spina makers and spina is everything on this game. Takes time to build one but worthwhile in the long run.

 

And here's the newb question kenji xD whats the difference between all these diff smiths?

 

BSTech can be an alchemist, statter and refiner(3 in 1 but the downside is limited damage because of extensive skill allocation on production skills and also the primary stat is Tech so the secondary stat is quite lacking).

VitBS, armor crafter and can be made into a tank also.

IntBS, Staff maker.

StrBS, 2 hand sword crafter

DexBS, for Bowgun

Str>Dex or Dex>Str, for 1 hand and bow crafter

Str>Agi BS, Halberd crafter

Dex>Agi, Katana crafter and knuckles also?(not sure on knuckles part)

Int>Agi, Magic Device crafter

 

Tech is used for synth, refine up to +B and adding stats to player crafted equipment. Vit crafts armor, Dex>Str/Str>Dex craft ohs, ths, bow, bowgun and half pot halberd/katana, Int crafts Staff, Str is for ths, half bow, half ohs and half Halberd, Dex is for bowgun, half bow, half ohs and half katana, Str>Agi is full pot Halberd, Dex>Agi is full pot katana and Int>Agi is magic device, Agi is knuckles.

 

Finale is still very good but requires more dps gear to be effective on nightmare and ultimate modes. Mini boss farming is more dangerous now tho as the outside range functionally only draws mob

 

i take it a non lv capped tech would be useless?
I really wanna branch into a production build for obvious spina reasons *^*
Note: i know nothing of bs statting refining(other than at zaldo lol) i only ever played a synth for potions a long time ago on a forgotten account~
2nd Note: From what i gather a dex>str or vice versa bs is a good safe bet because CF and plenty of crafting possibilities

None leveled tech chars could still use 3lock for apps and dye, it can also make potions, and refine to +B.

 

ah, i saw somewhere that refining can be very random and not so profitable. I'm familiar with what 3 lock is though. Not sure how to go about that service or the dye service other than farming own dyes and selling.

 

Along with selling dyes, you can collect limited event recipe weapon/armor/add gear appearances (usually for untradeable items) and sell them either at a cheaper price while the event’s going on, or stockpile the apps and sell at a higher price weeks or months later. It’s a bit of a gamble to predict which items are gonna sell the best, so it’s helpful to watch CB price trends.

Dye events like golden potum are usually profitable, especially when they have colors like black a/b, white, etc. But you usually have to wait for a while to sell after those events: prices during the events are like 50k or whatever, but they can jump up to 300k+ for a single dye...

I think app selling is one of the easier ways to start building up spina besides blacksmithing. All you need is flower nectar and medicine for 3lock, in comparison to the large amounts of spina to start blacksmiths (if you don’t want to farm all the mats for proficiency leveling).

Overall, 3lock isn’t really a direct service to sell to people (as they get really suspicious of getting scammed, usually for good reason) — you just do it to your own crafted gear and throw it on the CB somewhere.
