What Luck Applies to...

    If you're doing bosses with a pack mule; you're probably not getting a party reward. Which will give you 1/3 less drops, right there. So that'll screw your average.
    Go do mob runs. Nisel shell masks, potum fins, pretty much any mob that drops stuff for your bs, go after them and stop a space or two before your smallest bag of your chars is full. Then compare. You'll see the difference. I usually averaged a whole extra stack of butter nuts with my luck char. In New Moon Palace I got twice the marionette hearts with my luck. You have to have a large enough sample to see the results. Like 100 runs. Not 10.
    If you looked at the screenshots, I literally had to kill and count each kill....10,067 times to finish my test before I published.

    I deleted the Luck synth/bs awhile ago. I only made it to test the crafting skills. I forgot about refinement. So someone else will have to answer this with actual data.

    But I'm 99% sure Luck does affect it, since it's your roll. Same as you crafting something.

    for a lv 70, its a waste of stats points .
    you cant max it and its not designed to replace main stats..

    Actually I will working for it after level my MC, but too busy with RL now.

    Quite the contrary. It depends highly on what you want from a character and for the account.
    Luck synths are extremely useful if simply for making pots. Refining would also have many advantages, should it work off of Luck. And more over, if you're gonna make a Pure Luck build; make something you can put those skill points in. They have to go somewhere. After hp boost and some other skills, you're left with at least 50 more points.

    @Mugami I read your thread and noticed that you listed Guard & Evasion rates are modified by LUK.
    Can you briefly explain how LUK affects these 2?
    Is it adding 10 points of LUK improves both rates by 1%?

    Equips and potions also have +Eva %, +Eva & +Guard Rate % modifiers. How does LUK and equip/pot modifiers work in relation in an algorithm?
    I also noticed that Evasion procs more often (no solid data, just pure observation when farming mobs) as my char increases in level when equipped with +Eva% gear (eg. Mirror Shield) even when I didn't add any AGI (thus Flee) to the char's stat.

    I noticed it.
    Marked it down for future study.

    It needs to be looked at at lvl/stat intervals.
    My problem was I didn't stat my luck char at all until lvl40. I haven't lvled it since. So this will have to come from someone else or I'll do it in a few months. I will say the difference is very noticeable.

    Had a huge error wall right passed me. Sry I was at work posting that.

    So I did a spreadsheet. Had to redo my math and check it that way.

    There's too much for me to show the full math for every possibility. It has just too many variables. Hopefully, this screenshot is enough for you to copy my spreadsheet.

    Max Eva is 95% at most. May be 90%. Until we can reach the limit, there is no way for us to know which is correct.

    2 do builds that utilize guard and evade hav a bigger bonus than single type cuz luck increase guard and evade seperatly but at the same time.
    • There is no way to utilize both at the same time. One or the other or have both suck, badly.
    3 luck makes my 1500flee vs 500hit, Dodge less because my flee is over their hit and luck tries to bring rolls to a 50/50 chance?
    That's not how luck works. At all.

    4What is the order of process when being hit?
    Crit roll then Flee vs hit then evade then guard then parry???
    • Normal or Crit is chosen
    • Crit rolls vs evasion/Gaurd/Parry*
    • Hit is rolled vs flee
    • Successful hit is rolled vs evasion/Gaurd/Parry*
    Let me explain this as easy as possible:
    E is Evasion
    G is Guard
    P is Parry
    F is failure to prevent being hit.

    1 is 10%, 2 is 20%, 0 is 100%
    The shortening of the range (00-99) is what luck does. 100 (range: 00-74) and 200 (range: 00-49) luck will be displayed.

    Evasion/Parry and Guard/Parry are rolled together. Parry adds to the end of the evasion or Guard range.

    Although I'm not entirely sure with this as when I was making mag tali ii with my pure luck, I seemed to get a lot better results. And when I had switched to another char and was making them I was wondering why I was having such bad "luck." Switched back and started getting better results straight away. So either it's just a perception or it actually can affect NPC luck in some way. So in saying that. I will still use my luck char over my non luck at NPC anytime.

    That is interesting.
    I tested this by making 30 mage rings each on three accounts. My one baseline got better results by 2 points over the other two which tied. One was 100 luck. Other was another baseline.

    So it was either just a coincidence for you
    Or
    They changed it.

    I'll test this in a few weeks and post results.
