What skills/stats/combos would be good for a DPS mage without level 4 skills

    I have a mage which has max level 3 magic skills and I wanted to know what stats would be best and combos to create the most damage (with or without crit don't mind particularly) and for reference to those who haven't got level skills like finale I wanted to know what would be best

    If you plan on going with party, it will be simple. What you need to do is keeping a good proration. Avoiding getting aggro is a plus, and giving support skills while u have no aggro is another plus.

    Fighting boss: impact > storm (smite) > any combo finisher with 2mp or less (consecutive)
    Fighting mini boss and avoiding normal mobs: magic arrow > magic lance (smite) > any combo finisher with 2mp or less (consecutive)

    It is up to you to decide if you want to use sneak attack to avoid getting aggro or not.

    Full int, 15~20 vit, the rest dex.

    Invest all ur points into int and vit. Dnt bother with DeX as it dnt do much for mage. Especially when u get finale

    He said he doesn't have skill lv 4 yet, so cspd is still a thing.

    DeX should never be a 2nd stat imo. Only 3rd or 4th, 255dex makes u have around 930 cspd. I think its choc ooze that gives 500cspd. Then there's a Cspd that gives another 500-700. DeX really doesn't mean much in toram for a mage. It's just a needed version of iruna DeX. I tried both int vit int DeX. Being a mage main since alpha. Int vit imo gives better benefits

    I assume if we have no skill lv 4 yet, our character lv and stat might be too low, so 255 int 20 vit and 20 dex is much normal isn't it? But yeah if he plans on using xtal to enhance cspd, then dex is not needed at all.

    At lower points its worse. Tho I'm not saying vit should be maxed either. Even as a tank imo vit shouldn't be maxed even if it's a primary stat because as we lvl we'd get higher base hp anyway. What would be better is something like 255int 120-200vit rest dex

    I currently have no xtals (unfortunately) just a +4 statted staff(+E)/armour for MATK and INT as my statter is low level af although for as I use the Shampy shield [Boss version] and the Fortuita Vestibus Light [NPC version] for additional HP as my budget is low af so I just wanna invest stuff wisely for mainly DPS

    If only you got Feather Armor Garb drop from the latest MQ boss, it would help you a lot. Also currently ideal shields for dps mage are Coffin shield and Zoe's Magic Book, which only available to get during Halloween event. I prefer coffin over magic book for survival purpose, though. Let's just hope we get another better shield for mage in the future.

    Unlike BK who likes to be beefy, I'd rather go full int 80 vit and rest dex up to around 80. Then stagger the point distribution between Vit and Dex, w/ focus on Vit first, to eternity.
