What's the Best Katana Combo?

,Hi! I just started playing Toram again after a couple of weeks. It has been like more than a year since the last time I played. And got curious whats new in Toram. So the new weapon katana hook me up playing again. And I've seen videos of combos, but im wondering what's the best combo for general? Some have magic blast while others not. Some have shishiu(not sure if thats right) and other's not. Im currently working on my combo point by using Pulse Blade>Haso save>Issen(with boots, forgot it, mking animation faster)> and Zentei (with boots again). Any recommendation for best Combo? TYIA

 

I think it depends on what you want your main DPS skill to be and how you distribute your stats so there is no one good combo for the class

 

,I see. Well I'm fond of using Zentei as main DPS. I like the timing of executing the skill right before the mob or boss attacks. Is Str>Dex good if I main Zentei or Dex>Str? The thing is... I'm not really good at building a combo regardless of Character Class. So maybe my Question should be, what combo build is recommended then?

Impact>Storm(Smite)>Tempest(Smite)>Hasso Happo(Smite)>Blast (Smite)>Snipe(Smite)>Strike Stab(Smite) >Mag Arrow(Smite)>Zantei Settetsu(Smite)>Javelin(Smite)>Triple Kick(Smite)>Phantom Slash(Smite)

 

LOL! Such unique Combo! Sorry, I dnt see any Combo guide for Katana in Katana Class Topic/Thread.

 

Pulse blade > War cry (save) > Reflex (cons) > Flash blast (cons) > Meikyo (cons) > Zantei (smite) > Ender skill (cons)
This will let you hold a 150% zantei til you want to use it.

If you're not using Meikyo, use
Pulse blade > War cry (save) ^ Flash blast (Save) > Impact (swift)
Then use Zantei outside of combo for only 2mp.

 

Whoa! Interesting! Im gonna try this. Thanks very much! Question though, how much damage can it deal? Guess have to try it and see for myself. And btw why reflex if you dont mind.

 

Reflex to take off 20% of the damage reduction from save, and I've hit 580k Zantei with it myself at proto leon, Dex/Str build. Most other places it hits around 280k-350k.

 

although reflex doesnt really help much out with zantei because increases evasion rate. the last hit of zantei wouldn't work if u you evade the the hit while u use it. maybe switch it out with a swifted quick aura instead?

EDIT: well maybe it could work if you are wearing heavy armor since it lowers your evasion rate.

,This one is Interesting as well. Though I havent gotten myself Magic skills yet for Impact and same for quick aura. But would like to try. Im still at level 102 for my Katana. And I have 27 skill points unused coz im not sure where to put it. Do you think its worth it to have magic skills for impact just for the combo build?

,alright then, thanks for the combo suggestion Looks like ill be doing some experiment myself. One more thing though if you dont mind, coz I really dont quite understand the importance or the significance of having magic Impact in combos, same thing for other classes such Sword class. In this Katana Combo build, what I can figure out is that it makes the mob tumble/flinch or so. Is that the only reason why magic impact is needed? Sorry I'm really just a noob in this Combo matter

I don't think it's worth spending that many skill points just for a tumble and a magic prorate :/
You can just auto once instead lol
