Depends on what you want. If you wanna run (gei) -aggro builds cuz you dont ever want aggro, the second option still holds merit. That's -40% aggro right there. If you stat your weapon and armor with -10% aggro it's an easy -60% (or just -50% if you only use -aggro armor). For power, I personally think that running shaved ice + gespenst 2, and guignol in dex/musc talis is the best option, since you dont have to allocate another 27 CRT (or was it 29 i dont remember) into your build.

Personally I run a HP/MP focus bow build for consistency (1800mp, 10.6k hp without buffs) with 40 VIT, 255 DEX and 148 STR (i think). CF is fastest launched at low charges so taking damage and firing CF is fine as long as you have enough HP to keep on taking damage, AMPR to recover mp to keep spamming.

Cf is support skill on first charge
Physical on fire. -aggro might reduce aggro but in the long run u will be casting multiple cf anyways lez say ultim boss 10cf means 40mp worth of aggro -40% is 24 quite a bit aggro reduce.
But these arent only skills u need to get ur decoy up warcry up kairiki up all these are support sneak cant reduce them snipes as well. Sacrificing a bit of dmg to reduce load on tank as well to die less is way better imho.

This is the big dellema i always face as a bowtana/pet summoner. If you let the pet take the full brunt of damage you may face incapacitation if your pet dies and your attack combo got pet support skill in it. Sneak attack is mostly just used to hide a few attack skills and mostly used to hide autos. More or less half of skills i use inside combat are support skills including sneak hence the balance of -aggro gear and crit gear is like a juggleing act on top of a slack rope.(hence i always prioritize on survival than damage dealt, since as long as my pet tank can take it, i can surely kill it)

Balance is key an archer is supposed to have good ampr fairly low aggro and deal decent dmg and prorate. Those who go all dmg mode /use long combos are like noobest archers in toram. Imo

    Why not run both?

When you have a capable tank in pt, you can go all out with DPS gear. Otherwise switch over to the low aggro mode.

Actually im leaning more now to option 2. Having perma-low aggro is just a nice safety factor.

75crit stat + fc16 bow + beast collar (gesp2) takes you to 100% already. Rest can focus -aggro (lil emp garb, dk amulet, lil emp arrow). And you can save on the SP you normally need for sneak too!

i personally prefer shaved ice hat/pirate bandana with Gespenst 2 together with spore- balanced dmg while still having reduced aggro
