Hmm, you can check out @Rodri Albari 1h dagger build for reference, but its basically this. On the combo side, Trigger slash>gattling knife(smite)>closer
would give you a fast animation of a smited gattling knife. Decoy shot for mp recovery. Rampage can be used to prorate and gives Xtra boost on ampr. Personally, I like to add impact at the end of the combo to give some magic proration though

Another way to play 1h gattling is to use midrange playstyle by utilising tempest and/or buster blade. 1mp combo should be used since you won't rely on decoy. The combi would be something like.
Backstep>sword tempest(save)>warcry(cons)>impact(cons)>gattling knife(smite)>smited finale/holyfist/kick.
Tempest has 12m range and inflict magic proration, warcry and impact can be casted from anywhere, gattling knife has 8m range so you can cast the combo from save range at 12 m, and choose when to unleash your gattling. With shukuchi you don't have to walk all the way from 12m to 8m to trigger the gattling.

Backstep/reflex/gsw>Buster blade(smite)>finale(smite) can be used as secondary burst damage combo that has 300mp cost if you successfully avoid an aoe with the Backstep's mp return. Warcry of struggle can be used as a mean to recover your mp. Midrange style doesn't have the highest damage output but it certainly can be fun to play. Use power wave to enable long range auto attacks if you want to prorate a bit.

As for gears you can use fallen angel dagger which has high base atk, 3%atk and 3 cdmg. The recoil is proven to be quite small and is still tolerable. Elemental swords with element, atk% and Damage to element% might be good main weapon to use to optimize your damage. Use Fc18 armor with ornlarf, bear hat+yashiro mom for additional gear, machina ring with seele zauga and venena xtals. They should give you 97 total crit rate, use food buff to reach 100 crit and above

 

there's also the "empty sub weapon and Two-Handed skill" option.

1h + fallen angel dagger (mainly for the extra atk stats on dagger). Stick to blade skills for primary dps (and that sweet 20% damage boost passive)

If you are pushing for dps tho, why not use 2h instead?

Md + enchant sword for me. It is now at par with meteor if you boost unsheathe attacks.

Dagger of course. Gatling Knife could cause 20k-30k per stab, and everytime you use the skill it will stabs the target for 6-8 times (6-15 times if you learn Amazing Throw)
Just calculate it. 20k x 15 = 300k, not bad isn't it? But 1h dagger build are actually bad at fighting a high defense boss, such as Iconos. But overall, it's worth to try.

 

My enchant sword does around 100 to 160k on lynx. My stats are str>int and am using +b fluck sword.

 

wait, even with like clarity rose (has physical pierce 50%), its still not enough for high def boss?

 

Hmm... I don't know. My 1h Dagger char really sucks at fighting boss such as Iconos, probably because it's lack of Physical Pierce stats. But i don't really know how Physical Pierce works tho.
