Why do people use girl characters even though they're boys?

Stupid question, but never really got it. I rarely see a girl use a boy avatar in these types of games, but I see it all of the time the other way around. I wanted to get the Toram community's take on this, since this is where I see it the most. Do boys want to be lolis or something? i dont mind getting more in touch with your feminine side, but I always wondered if that really were the case. Or boys just want to be lolis. I can accept that answer too.

 

A friend of mine from another game would always answer with like *if I gotta stare at an ass for or hour or so it better be an ass worth staring at.* For me though I don't really care if my character is a boy or girl so I usually just pick whatever I feel like.

 

I myself only have 1 female char right now. I guess these are my reasons..
1. Most armors/avatars look better on females. Especially light remodeled armors. Some light armors just looks dumb on males.
2. A lot of hairstyles look better on females. Or maybe I'm just too picky, idk..
3. We can make cute girls, so why not? After all, Toram is a dress up game.

 

The game got cute female avatars and kinky outfits. As stated above, this game requires you to stare at your avatar's butt more than the damage numbers of your targets. Long grind need quality imagery or we start yawning the first 10 mins. I for one prefer a girl's butt swinging at my face all the time than a lanky boy toy's butt. It is a motivational preference that keeps me playing for hours on end.
Of course i have played other games and not all of them i chose a female char. If i like the game but cringed at char design i choose male(preferably the ones with more meaty shoulders) coz every dude wants a jacked up gunz!
In toram the female chars is much more pleasing to the eye than males, that is just facts.

Oddly enuf, male gamers are more meticolous on their female avatars than actual female gamers on their female avatars.
If the chick looked too pretty, 80% it be a dude!

 

Scale armor, medic garb, fight suit. I have stared long and hard on them round bottoms. They are more frequent than boobs, i can tell you that much. Other armors looks nice in the front but some like the mad doc garb got butts as flat as a washboard.

 

Because being a guy and staring at a male character's ass seems kinda gay

 

Kinda ironic. As a little boy i was called gei when i play girly dolls with such negative vigor. Now that i am grown up and play dressup with my female avatar like a doll, i get positive reactions.

 

Actually, all games out there made by Asobimo or even in most MMORPGs have their armors or avatars better suit for female characters. IMO, because the person in charge of character design is a male (highly likely a lolicon too).

I'm not making female character to get some panty shots, butt starring, boobs starring, role playing, or any kind of that. It's just like... playing with my own daughter, lol.

And uh, I know a real life female... a friend of mine, in this and other games role playing as an old man.

 

My thoughts are similar...most avys and armor don’t have a masculine look for males, also in the character design the male option isn’t really that masculine u can easily choose a male character yet have him look very girly. I do make male characters but I may make a female for either farming ( because she is like my slave) lol or if the armor or avy I plan to use is feminine. If abismo could redesign the bod to make the males more muscular and less boyish even female players will be more inclined to make male characters imo.

 

It depends on the type of player. Some players, and a lot of players I feel, add story to their characters. As one of them, I have an equal amount of male and female characters. Except for 1 extra male as the current character cap is 17.

Edgier guys tend to go for male characters more often to fulfill their dark lord or chosen one fantasies.
Casual players tend to not care about the gender, but generally go for the opposite gender.
Some guys just want to catfish for fun.
Some guys just want to look good I guess.

Eventually, the longer you play, the less you care about your characters' gender.
This is what I feel happens for a majority of cases.

I can't speak for the females as I'm male, but sexual attraction can also be part of the reason along with curiosity. Toram isn't really as sexy as some other mmorpgs, but there are some really horny adolescent boys out there so it's possible.

I play both Boy and Girl char.
For me male character in Toram is less cool hair style ,body look so weak and act likes girl
I love to make character likes cosplaying with anime or game character

 

I see my chars as my original characters. The same way author/artist see the characters they made.

 

because MMORPG = Many Males Online Roleplaying as Girls

personally i don't like lolis. but since most female game characters are either lolis, have super inflated boobs or a weird mix of both, i find it very difficult to make a female character that i like.
then the pantsu are everywhere, you don't even need to look for them. it's funny at first, but gets boring very quickly.
handsome yaoi characters, on the other hand, are 'new' and interesting.
another aspect is the sharing of decorative accessories. not all that look good on one gender do so too on the other. same for hats and capes combined with short or long hair. having all characters of the same gender with mostly similar hair styles, makes it much easier to mix-match their accessories.
since my main character is male, because it is my 'online avatar', i also make all my other characters male. then i ship them for fun.
