Why Katana's are not that popular?

None of the reasons above. Katana's reputation is basically destroyed because of some kid who leeches in pt by just normal hitting and dodging red zone. Funny how people disregarded Zantei and now just fleeing red zone of mini boss/boss.

In my opinion, there's 2 ways to make katana popular again without nerfing other classes.
- Make Garyou unsheathe(which dev 100% won't change the fact)
- Give us the ability to stat unsheathe% on player craft equipment

 

true that a specialized class need specialized equip buts its ok with me if katana is not popular. i hate mainstream classes anyway.

modestia is a godsent to katana users. im now spamming 80k x 4 tenryus with 1s gear and a +B

 

Yae Sakura can slash other classes (maybe not finale...)

well i m katana user to.

when fight in tyrant hard or normal mode and no tank. i get 3 rank always like tank, attack and breaker rank.
even on my team have finale mage. tenryu, magadachi, zentai spam. give ton damage before finale mage can do damage.

i agree this. katana is not mainstream claas.

and katana not easy to master it this class. so some stupid kidd cant play this class

 

Try futana class build.
I like it more than normal katana or bowtana build.

 

Katana requires actual fast reactions to play with Zantei. Try Zantei-ing on Motzo Machina's Tailspin, not double tailspin but just the single tailspin. It's hard unless you have really fast reactions. And it's not good to die on the first battle after you joined the party, which is why some of us play like wimps. I'm a wimp but sometimes I have to prorate the entire team because of spammers, my damage would suck anyway. Its satisfying to Zantei successfully, but frustrating to fail Zantei or do low dmg/not crit.

 

if you get the modestia ( toram god give for katana user) +100 crit you will do all crit damage.

 

thats easy compared to using a royal guard in DMC.

the problem is you are stuck in an animation doing something when mozto does the tailspin. its easy to counter if you waited for the spin to happen but 99% of the time, you fail to counter because youre stuck in animation doing something. if magadachi or zantei can be used immediately and cancel anything that you are doing, katana would be godlike.

 

Well most times I'm in 3-5m about to shikuchi and then wham I'm knocked back or dead
Katana does high dmg fast though for lv3.

But dont take my word for it, most times my auto item is off lol

 

I was levelling during p.avatar event, not like I would get a pt anyway

 

well i get 1 pt on that event when i m just lvl 98 ( ya u can say that i m lucky)
