I'm a bit confused. So I noticed that when I put stat points into my dw, dex increases my attack by 2, but str only by one. I know that agi is the secondary stat for dw, but why isn't dex the primary stat?

So if I'm understanding this correctly, adding 1 main ATK and 1 sub ATK yields more damage overall than 2 main ATK?
I've also read that STR adds stability and crit damage(?), so even if the damage increase is the same for DEX and STR, STR will still yield higher damage output for the stability and crit... only if your crit is high enough that you attacks land? I've only been playing about a week, and I started with katana, switched to DW and reset my stats around 50ish to an STR/AGI build, but I kept missing bosses so I reset again to a two hand STR/DEX build.

Ok toram is very misleading, dex increases hit rate yes but not enough to successfully hit bosses 100% of the time. So therefore all physudps builds focus on getting 100% crt rate and as much crt dmg as possible, with that in mind str is a vital stat . So even though dex gives a better attack I rather get a better multiplier from crt damage. You can always raise att via xtals and hear , crt dmg is harder to get.

Maybe because crit and crit dmg.
Dex gives more point, but non-crit atk can miss and evaded unlike crit (which only can be evaded)

Makes sense, thanks for helping clear that up. I guess I'll just have to keep grinding low level bosses for Spina until I can afford some crit. lol

Aslo, afaik (but have to confim that first, can anyone confim?)

For DW, str give most stability cause it affects both main and sub compare to dex (only affects main stab) and agi (only affects sub stab)

We know that stability gives big diffrence on damages

Str tends to have Critical Damage Growth (every 5 STR giving 1 CDMG) and additional subhand damage
In otherwords, your crits hit harder (because you should always aim for 100 Critical Rate) and your damage is more evenly displaced amongst both sword which make overall damage higher (instead of 125k and 50k you get 100k and 100k)

dex increase accuarcy, main hand attack by 2 and main hand stab by 0.75 ,
but each agi increase your main hand attack 1 sub hand attack 3, increase your attack speed and 0.04 subhand stab, so thats why agi is main stat,
str is nearly main stat for all physcal classes, each str increase 1 main hand and 1 sub hand attack also crit damage 5/1 and 0.25 main hand stab and 0.06 subhand stab for dw, I use 250 str rest agi until I reach highest motion speed limit, then I will use rest for dex

    Good Question...
Just to be devil's advocate here lol...

:D Tri Statting is best. Finding a balance between your subhand and main handput along with having both your sub/main stabiilty high will do wonders :D
Who wouldn't like to be balanced and totally original and different.

    Jokes aside
STR/AGIl or AGIL/STR will be the optimal just due to how they play a major role with the calculations for DW. Yes Dex plays a part also so don't neglect that but it's just not as beneificial. Unless you plan to use alot of blade skills then that works out.
You can max either or out or just have both Agil and Str the same amount of points.
Some Dex once you're happy with with your crit dmg/subhand dmg/aspd.
