Worst class in Toram

Yeah but this game doesn't really have a "class" system. I think you're talking about weapon, but based on what???? (You need to be a little more specific)


In my opinion, I think there's potential in every weapon because creative people will find a way to bring out the best of it somehow so there isn't a bad weapon in my eyes. People saying knuckles though... I've seen some amazing knuckle users in game

 

well, i would tell mages ( staff and md main weapon).
only have a skill that does some dmg and it's crap.
long cast, easy to be broke, cost too much sp, miss normal and physical attacks on high level bosses ( so secondary weapon are useless )
no mana left, and aggro you are dead meat.
Dps of skills are very low, only one magic dps tree, very high aggro, no valuable 1 vs 1, and crap aoe.
you need timing to be able to make one skill, for finale, time you get a free open way to cast it, boss is close to die.
finale big aoe, low dmg on most area, long cast time, up a lot aggro, can be break easely, miss a lot when boss decide to move a lot, 1600 mp, very low dps
other magic skills are close to be useless for dps. burst is not designed to be used with a staff...

 

You are party depedent so obiously, there is build that looks useless/worst in your perspective.Including toram community culture.

Here is the worst tier list I made in like 2 minutes for all the skills in toram (save the support skill trees and passives)
Dont take this seriously whatsoever

 

But if you are a pure bow in the first place you are always 12m away from a boss, and if you get killed from that far with short combos? Yea you need to play your archer diffrent.

Also I mentioned the loss of easy ele access and HALVING YOUR KATANA DAMAGE. You also dont need to be a katana to use kairiki because every bow and arrow sub uses kairiki already and 10 seconds of ampr is more than enough for me.

 

Please don’t say that others playstyles are wrong and that they need to play different, and either way your point doesn’t make sense.
Always being far away from the boss isn’t always a good thing, like in Alto where being farther away from the boss can make you more likely to die from it’s attacks. Getting killed is the same for both bow+arrow and bow+katana, except bow+arrow can’t really defend itself from aggro

My argument for why Bow+Katana isn’t the worst class in Toram is much more nuanced than what you seem to be going against. I never cared about halving my Katana damage or not having element access, going full DPS isn’t what the point is, if you wish to go full dps then go for it. My argument was talking more about the utility of Katana for bow. Being an aid to the Bows moveset really helps it a lot. Yes, almost every Bow+arrow uses Kairiki, but Bow+Katana has it for 30secs meaning you have much more MP to utilize. While doing your normal CF and Snipes if you happen to get aggroed you can defend yourself with Zentei (and it doesn’t ruin your CF charge). When you can’t stay far away and you need to quickly get close to the enemy, Shukuchi a Tenryu all the way towards them in an instant and start a physical assault. A normal bow would struggle in these situations and Katana provides the utility Bows can use to become more BALANCED fighters.

 

Oh wops that's a fault on my part I didn't notice what I said x.x. It isnt the worst by far but its certaintly lackluster for me in a traditional party.

If you have a good tank that keeps your party alive by stunning and holds aggro then there is no reason to use a bow-tana imo.

If you are in a random int party and everyone is a DPS crazy hoe (80% of all int pts) then that's where bowtana can shine. But if you are farming with friends or a solid party then I would 100% go with a traditional ele arrow + bow

 

I would still use one, because bosses nowadays are becoming really mean when it commes to aggro, not even hitting tank at all at times and doing some nasty AOEs when you stun them, plus, if the tank were to die or logout someone else has to tank.

Though I get you, I use Bowtana because I dont wanna make a pure DPS, pure Tank, pure Support in 3 different characters so I made one that can do it all. Jack of All Trades, master of none.

 

As for me i'll grouping the worst classes, the weapon and the skill based on toram boss rank.

For dps : mage was the worst. Don't even tell me timing is the key, or try other skill like magic : burst. It's just not. 2 slotted mage will still lose to 1 slotted ds or hb or katana on any bosses on any event bosses. Mage couldn't solo anything, basically if your tank die, you die. This is coming from a 2 slotted player who experience 2 times nerf on finale. Mage also lack elemental build, the build basically stop where you are.
For tank : mage, maybe a bow too but they still could deal certain damage depending on the boss.
For support : have warcry, even tank would rank 1st. Nothing to be labeled worst here. Support on Toram just bad in general.
For breaker : nah, mage.

Nowdays mage still needed to farm mats. So i guess it is not completely worst. It is your worst best class. While you won't love it, mages have a very esssential role in toram. I guess everyone have mage to fill atleast 1 of their character slot. I am very convinced it is the most used classes in Toram.

It's still the worst tho.

Ranking builds has been subject to great controversy for so long now, since each one of us has a different play style that suits us most, i for one plays better with melee classes such as 2h and katana (and can have better dps and survival) and would rank them higher than bow; so i would rather rank them by popularity on boss runs

coming in first as most Common are: Finale staff and bow maybe because theyre easy to use

Followed by: katana and 2h wich are always popular next to mage in most rpg

Next is: 1h+shield, dw and halb are more common in high difficulty bosses but are rare in regular runs

And last are only used by the most obstinate of players: namely knux, md and 1h+other subs, non-finale staff and they do pop up every now and then


special mention to the oddballs: support, assassin, magic sword and dark magic users that would defend their builds at all cost, and they're so damn rare some havnt even met one yet

Those ppl who said knux is shit doesnt really play the class well.

Knux is much more flexible build overall
(Before dw was the most but ppl build dw as mindless spamming + mp generator decoy strat)
Ive built a knux as a balanced built but i managed to make it an overall class
I changed gears for what the party needs
You need tank? No problem ill tank for you (rocking 15k hp+40% resistance with interruption lock combo with decent dmg)
You need dps? (Change to dps gears doing 400k chariot and rush with a semi tank survivability)
Oh u need a prorator? (Equips aspd gears that can reach 8.5k aspd)(50% motion with rush)

Many close minded ppl differentiate the class by dmg or "dps" alone

The buff that what i want for knux that i kept bitchin about? I want martial skill to have a bonus aspd boost drom their skills like how dw and halberd got theirs.
Fast motion speed with decent dmg can out dmg high dps goku long range turtle build in a long run

Dmg is just a number experience is what you neex before bitchin or judging a certein class

Also be nice for Knux if they finally bring out something to use it’s high matck. Why does int give 4 matck when it’s completely useless?
