Xtal Doubt for first slot on bow

Should I use Gwaimol xtal or Tyrant Machina for the first slot of bow? and why?
Dex > Str build

You're going full dex then str right?
And I think bow gets more off dex than str stat

 

tyrant. arrow already gives you def reduction and using gwaimol still comes into your mind?

 

Because I am not gonna go in like melee range? Since Using cross fire forbids me from getting hit defence doesnt matter as long as theres someone tanking.
Now you'd say AOE but thats why theres something called instincts to move when something is about to hit you.
And gwaimol comes in my mind because of that attack it gives.
I just asked the difference not mockery.

im giving my answer and you get butthurt and say mockery. dont ask questions then if you dont want answers that you dont want. just because someone is tanking doesnt mean you wont get hit. at higher levels, you will die with in a single hit. i would quit toram if you dont ever get hit even once in all your boss runs everyday because of your so called instinct.

I can bet to dodge all the aoes which aren't full map aoes or the ones which are casted when boss is stunned like nure. And the negative def isn't that low that'd make u die in one hit

... Between Gaymol and Tyrant Machina, with a full DEX char, Tyrant most likely. If Crit Rate's still not enough (I'd recommend at least 125 flat Crit Rate total) and/or your STR is good enough for it to give your Crit DMG a good boost, Gwaimol.

Also, Gwaimol's debuff on DEF isn't that bad... at least it isn't Godspeed Wield, which gives you alot of super speed bonuses (speed also increases DPS, just a small reminder) but makes you like paper... or wet paper.

 

125 crit rate means it'll always crit even if boss has crit resist?
I have 105 crit rate with fc +16 arm and acccd+16 bow and 20 crit as stat,
How many more do I have to put to get 20 more crit rate? Around 40?

 

Last I heard, 3.4 CRT = 1 flat Critical Rate... 17 gives 5, 34 gives 10.

Another thing, Critical UP from Battle Skills gives +5 Crit Rate & DMG at Lv. 10.

Just saying, 125% Crit Rate doesn't really guarantee anything you'll still Crit when you fight bosses with Crit Resist (since still no info in my data banks on exactly how much Crit Rate the bosses with Crit Rate Resist reduce), but at least it reduces the chances of them resisting your Criticals a lot... just took a page outta the book of tanks (most tanks use either Toy Hammer or Drills, both of which adds +100 flat Crit Rate, meaning their Crit Rate's 125% because all players have a base of 25% Crit Rate)... If anything else, makes your char somewhat future proof vs. future Crit Rate Resist bosses...

This is a nice tool to use if you need to calculate your char's stats... If you also need to add buffs and Avatar Stats, you'll have to do the math yourself... check TheXIIIthGuy's Tome of Offense for details...

 

bottom line is you asked a question, i gave you a short answer and you did not like my answer and whine like a kid. any more than this is pointless as i dont want argue with a kid that doesnt accept critcism and others point of view.

That's not how "Stat+X%" works… Or to put it simple, it's not 1 stat points for every 100 stat points.

 

1 Dex = 3 Atk
1 Str = 1 Atk

10.2 * 3 = 30.6 Atk
8.35 * 1 = 8.35(166 vs. 167) Atk

Just pointing out that it's still the same however you calculate it. Stat+% just doesn't add to your base. You don't include it when calculating for chariot multiplier for example.

The thread isn't wrong as you don't really get the stats. Just the bonus from the stats. But I just find it easier to get the extra stats from stat% and calculate from there.

 

May I get any link/info about your "data banks" please?

 

It is quite disappointing how people are still believing what they want to believe. Even though legit guides have been made with highly accurate info people still seek the easier to read outdated guides.

@LordBolt Yes tyrant is better than gwaimol for bow. Thats a fact. Up to you if you want to believe. I cant explain how exactly as theres already many people contradicting from whats the actual truth. You will just get more confused.
I am not gonna name who is wrong. If you think it is wrong try retesting or researching.

Also others please do not start petty arguement over stuff like def- negative. It starts even more of a mess over a simple question.

I havent called you out I was speaking in general terms. If you thought that I was talking about you then you did that on yourself. Be confident about what you understood. You were not even wrong at the beginning but then you started second guessing yourself. I am disappointed and salty all the time dunno why you have to take my words to heart and feel bad about it.

 

105 crit is enough, just use meikyo for boss who has resist to crit, afaik 5str=1cdmg
