1h sword plus dagger?

Does anyone use this kind of combination?

Storm dagger might be the best one for dps warrior though

 

So do daggers actually increase atk? Plus the stats from daggers would help a lot too.

 

Daggers do increase attack, and the stats do apply. People get confused because putting Irogeon in the sub-weapon slot provides no stats. Dagger has no choice except to be in sub-weapon slot, so the stats are applied just like a shield.

Still no avatar appearances from the daggers or attack animations.

 

You jump backwards and attack during evasion with daggers equipped.

I had an Elflame and tried putting on my sub-weapon and it decreased my atk, probably due to the fact that i am a warrior.

I will hunt for Storm Dagger then...seems to best for a 1h dps swordie.

 

I'm using the daggers with my sword to augment my sword's damage and to unlock a new set of skills. as far as major damage, not really. Excellent versatility and single-target though.

I'm thinking stick with Dexterity until 80, then save my points for level 40 and flood crit with the rest until maxed. I'm thinking high aspd from gear, high damage from stats and gear, and high evasion so that soloing becomes no problem.

 

I meant on auto attack.
I believe the intent with daggers on this game is to only show them when they are needed, such as when you evade an attack and counter. Swords and such are too slow for countering in reality, but a dagger makes the perfect weapon.

That just hit me as to why we don't see auto attack animations. /facepalm

 

Im quite simlilar, however, i've put 100points into dex for higher dmg and im then putting the rest onto crit. Potentially putting mino xtals on equip for the extra hp% and atkspd%. i reckon i'd crit quite often when i get to lvl 55. plus the extra hp% and atkspd% from mino xtal will help tank bosses, dps and mana regen while in battle. TS ftw~

 

The stats on storm dagger looks very promising~in comparison to the xtals and equipment stats it's quite a big boost for dps 1h sword ^^

Before storm dagger come out..
Benefit of this build is u dun need to add skill to shield skill to get rid of the att spd penalty

Also...in order to get the attack from dagger i think u need to learn dagger skill. I eq shield and change to dagger .. att nvr increase.

If I'm understanding you correctly, you're saying you gain auto-attacks from the dagger by having skills in the dagger tree. This is incorrect. Offhand-only equipment (daggers, shields, and arrows only) adds stats to your character when equipped, and each one has special properties attached to it. The shield adds guard rate and mitigates damage when you guard an attack, the dagger increases damage and grants a riposte when you evade an attack and the arrow does something else I'm sure. ^.^

Anyway, the point of a dagger is to provide versatility to 1H users. No more forcing them into using a shield or going naked with nothing but a sad little Shortsword.

 

Doesnt really increase the dmg if no add dagger skill.. u see the att is the same in the stats window

 

Mine went up just now and I don't have points in dagger skill on this character. I don't know why your stats aren't.

 

Daggers dont increase attk but you will get the stats. My sword uses heavy knife with str+3 and crit rate +5

 

Unless the extra stat is something that give u dmg such as str / dex or etc ..

The base att will not add to ur dmg.
Eg. I eq dagger.
Base att 13
Extra stat is eva 10%

In this case, the dmg will not increase.

How ever if ur dagger is
Extra stat is 3str for eg. U get 6 dmg due to 1 str equal 2 dmg

If u wan the basebdmg to be added to the stat also, u need to add the passive skill from dagger tree. Hidden arms is the name if i not wrong

 

maybe for arrows it makes your atk elemental coz most arrows are elemental.... i guess?

 

They add elements to non elemental bows as well as add stability to Bows. Atk is also made higher with them.
