Philosophers ring

I have a slotted philosopher ring wondering what xtal is the best for it

 

Ooze for damage , Aranea for utility.

 

Scrader for damage

 

Scrader for autistic kedz who doesnt know anything.

 

Ooze is 2% atk matk and scrader is 3%matk 2% long range, even a braindead nub could see scrader is better for dps

But the negatives are?

 

AND Natural MP Regen- 10% , Physical Resistance -20%
+ The long range damage doesn't count for magic skills that are commonly used for dps, this includes Storm, Arrows, Lances, and even Wall.

The xtal makes you weaker against physical attacks by a whopping 20%, Altho the 300 hp helps.

Ooze is for people who don't want to die as easily or just want to save 2 million spina

Altho he is right, 3% IS higher than 2%

 

I use dark mash because im cheap

 

Tbh the xtal you choose is up to you... look at these and pick your poison if you want the "best"

 

Prefer ooze.

Scrader -20% physical resistance is no joke.
It's like being a glass cannon, what can u do if u die easily.

Shoutout to those op people with op 2s gears. Don't put scrader to all of ur equips. That's just, dumb. And yet I've met someone having 3 scrader for his mage set, that's stupid.

 

Gameplays are different some people dont care about getting hit, others can use a tank player to help them out.
i see ooze good if you have a good cspd, nure is kinda tough there , might work as dps but a little slower, and scrader has better matk but that hp and def nerf contradicts itself, kinda makes it neutral

 

Coz the 2%long range dmg doesnt work for magic skills that has a casting a time.
Proven and tested.
So basically you're only using an xtal that has a 3%matk and +300hp BUT with -20%phy resistance

I'd prefer nure over scrader now since there's alot of source for cspd, heck with proper setup you can equip at least 2-3 nure xtals but still maintaining a 1k cspd.
Ooze xtal is still better than the two , yes it is 1%matk weaker but it has no life impending negatives.

Personally I'd say that Nurethoth is better than both your suggestions of Ooze an Scrader plus it doesn't have negatives that effect your survival rate

 

The discussion is about xtal philosopher's ring.

General reason as to why I picked ooze for damage is because he was asking for which best xtal to use , best doesnt flat out mean highest dps , dps = survivability are corelated for a reason. Ooze only has -2% reduction to def and mdef which is good enough to even consider as non-existent, meanwhile scrader has -25%phy resistance just for over a 1%matk increase over ooze. Logic please, how would u even dps better if your mortality rate is higher. Dead dps = no dps

 

I meant in general use not specifically for the Philosopher's Ring, Ancient Empress is better because it gives 3% MAtk boosts CSPD and only negative is to Short Range Damage which doesn't apply to Magic attacks also yes Nurethoth reduces Atk speed and CSPD but it doesn't reduce def, mdef, resistance of any kind or health so even tho Ooze is only a 2% reduction to Def and MDef I still think you would die quicker using Ooze instead of Nurethoth

Theres no point in saying ancient empress here because it shouldnt even part of a discussion to begin with.
If you know how the logic of def works,
-2% def wont even increase the dmg you receive by 1%.

 

i can tank nm gem runs with 3 scraders equipped so stfu already

I didn't know how it worked for defense and figured Nurethoth would be better since there's no reduction to the stat at all and it gives 1% more MAtk plus I didn't know Ancient Empress was an Additional Crysta before I mentioned it
