1 Handed Sword DPS Styles lvl 85 cap (Cella's Variety of build!)

Here is the problem in your combo
Trigger Slash(Smite): 200MP cost
Rampage (smite):
-50% DMG from smited previous skill & +50% from smite : (100-50) x (1.5) = 75% Rampage dmg
Smited Rampage in the end of combo (no skill after this) -> MP cost x 2 = 1000 MP

 

What a waste to smite the knife tree while saving and consecuting the sword tree. U not planning on taking sword masteries and tech?

 

This is what is the problem in few 1H build, astute is 1mp bar on 1H, gives crit to next skills and attacks. This is the huge gap between 1H and 2H in amount of combo spammed in one battle. Why not take advantage of it but usin 2 or more mp bar for only 1 combo? The way to play 1H is totally different from other classes, even the battle style is different.
Edit: im not talking about this particular build in post, just to remind people that haven't exploited 1mp bar astute as combo starter and keep it 1mp bar combo

 

Just an input my friend, 50% more damage for smited trigger isn't worth the 3mp bar for 1H. U dealt 50% more damage than me from trigger, which in total combo approx 30% more damage than me, but i dealt 30% less damage but can spam the skill 3 times and reducing the amount of normal attacks i used to regain mp. Who will get attacker rank?

 

I did that before, but then charging for 2 or 3 times after each boss battle tires me up. U can try though

I simply just wanted to know the damage, since I plan on making a dagger build I want to gather as much information I can get

 

From my experiments, sword skills deals more damage as it scales better from atk than dagger skills. Even gattling is hard to compete with tempest, especially tempest gains bonus damage on the damage per ticks when using 1H. But if u gonna experiment too and it proves me wrong, please do as it helps me too

 

All skills have their uses and I'm not really after dmg, I'm simply after having a build that I enjoy playing, anyone can make a dps build, but not all can have fun with them.

 

Staves is good too, but hard to compete with bowgun, so yes, u r right..

 

I see, then u got the point, as dagger skills have a lot of utilities, example the zero mp throw knife, and higher chance to slow on spike dart.

 

mine at level 65... it deals around 12-18k damage per combo (well the combo kinda long and gattling knife is arpund the same as spiral air) plus poison damage

If I may, for the ninja build, you spent 20 SP to get tempest only to Save and reduce 80% of its damage, which didn't seem to have a strategic value to me.

I would suggest: Astute > Spiral air (Save) > Trigger slash (Consec) > Gating knife (Smite) > Spike dart (Consec)

The animation for this one is cool, looks like you are doing 11-hit dagger.

The flinch from spiral at least give a chance to interrupt boss while you are using Gating knife, keeping you safe.

If you enjoy poison damage, go full DEX to take full advantage of it:
Astute > Sanctuary (Save) > Poison dagger (Consec) > Tempest (smite) > Spike dart (Consec)

The spike dart will slow target down, keeping it in the tempest. Unless the target is a cheater like Roga. This may seem weak compared to full STR at first, but when you max STR later on, it could be cool ^^
