One easy way to increase DPS with this build is to add to the combo and do:
Astute > Trigger slash (Save) > Gating knife (Smite) > Impact (Save) > Tempest (Smite) > Spike dagger (Consec)

However, the combo will be too long as it will last 7 secs. With dagger damage the way they are, very little can be done ^^

This test kinda failed, but could be fun for dagger-lovers none-the-less ^^

At 44 it did 3.2k to Mochello total
At 58 it did 4K to Mochello total

People with Staff, STR dagger reported 1.4k per hit, so 11.2k total. Sword mains will see about 60% of that, so roughly 7K.

Adding 15k estimated for other skills before and after Gating, the combo might do around 20k over 4 secs.

Not bad, not 1h-fu good.

You do about 10k per sec with 1h-fu, right? Don't have to answer if that is a secret ^^

I do around 10k/1 second, I plan on resetting soon after releasing the build and make a dagger build myself ;P

@.@ I'ma just get another character slot, I have a few ideas in mind, theres a few others making dagger builds too, if it's a success then the build is gunna be lit ;DDD

I think if you use a Cspd gear, you can make War Cry faster. I noticed I have a faster War Cry when using BD Sword than with Rapier.

If the last skill in dagger is worth it, or if they tweak Dagger skills again, I'll revisit this idea again ^^

Stealing this idea from @Squid's 1h brawler ^^

With the 6% physical pierce from Rapier, add to it 6% physical pierce from Bush knife, this build ignores 12% (1/8) of target's defense.

Main Weapon: Rapier
Sub Weapon: Bush knife
Armor: I made a aggro -6%, c-rate 7, c-damage 7, killer coat will work just fine, C888 will be awesome-r

Stat: STR > DEX > AGI
Note: Leave Trigger slash at lvl 5!

Combo 1: Astute > Trigger slash (Save) > Gating knife (Smite) > Impact (Consec)
Combo 2: Impact > Tempest (Smite) > Throw dagger (Consec)

The first combo is you fast spam DPS move, use Combo 2 to clean up mob (e.g. Roga / BB Gob) or to attack at range. Leaving Trigger at lvl 5 will ensure Combo 1 costs 100mp. With motion-speed boost from Trigger slash, Gating knife will be sped up. The duration of Gating with the motion speed buff will decide whether this build is viable.

HP Boost and Quick Draw are necessary enhancements.

This will use 120 SP up to this point if you get all active skills to lvl 10, except TS. Further updates will follow as soon as I can test it.

This build is designed with 0 survivability in mind. I assume @Squid's new supporter or @Precaria's Angelus Mage will keep me alive ^^
