1h + Dagger help

As the title says I need help for making this rare build
I already have an Idea for it
(Sneak attack, evasive up, la mastery, blah blah blah..)
But I still need help getting stats for it done.
Should I build like a DW (dex 140: Agi rest) or is there other builds for it?

BbGarb
Rapier
(Insert Dagger here)
(Insert additional here)

I would go str:crt 1:1 ratio. In the end its almost the same than going full str or full dex in terms of dmg but u wont have the miss everytime problem.

 

Isra I think @Saphos did a interesting build on 1h dagger based on high physical Pierce%. Altough I think he discontinued it cos daggers skill damage multiplier to low compared to other weapon trees

 

I have a 1H/Dag on lev 70. I am still working on it, and trying to figure out how to use my skills to use bot GatKnife and Tempest in a combo effectively.... BUT, Lemme just say, It is a really fun Build, And for your Dagger, I would go farm Zombeasts for the Cursed Dagger. Its dark Element I think.... And Its a damn high ATK dagger I think 64ATK base.

 

I mean, I could use bush knife with relatively similar attack. Cursed Dagger has -200hp and at lvl 15 with no skills whatsoever I only have 10 HP .-. So I may be using Dagger (+5% Dodge +10% Eva), Army Knife (+100 MP, +2 dex(?) +10% Evasion) or Bush Knife (need to reccap on the stats).

 

Planning for Either
A] 3Dex:1Agi
B] Agiex
C] Dex:Agi:Str
Since the build is based on Evasion (forgot I needed reflex) I need higher Agi, but that seems interesting enough to use

 

Bush knife gives 6% physical pierce and has a high base attack. I tried with with NPC Rapier for a total of -12% physical pierce, but didn't see much difference. Didn't test against Roga as I had enough of it at lvl 54.

If you want an evade build, LUK is what you need. AGI only raises dodge and does not affect evade.

 

I recently Remade my 1H/Dagger. And yeah, Nevermind the Cursed Dagger.... The drop rate is so low it's like hunting xtals.... And furthermore, the -200HP is crap.

AND.... It has been said that dagger ATK doesnt matter one bit. So I may swap to Army Knife myself for the Evsion boost. I like having the evasion, or I may research a Cr or Cd Dagger and go farm it. My new build has Throwing Knife, Spike dart, and Poison Dagger R10. I gave up on Gatling Knife. Its just as suicidal as rampage. So I am going to try and focus on Quick Combos, Probably along the lines of Astute>Sonic Blade(Save)>Spike Dart(Smite)>Throwing Knife(Swift)>Poison Dagger(Cons)


It's a 10 hit, 1MP combo that theoretically could Offer a very steady stream of damage at high level. Especially with all skills within at R10.

In my new build, I focus on DPS, rather than breaking, interrupting, or maintaining aggro. Spike dart hits 6 times rapidly at R10, And can hit upwards of 300/hit that I have seen. So... adding up the total...

Astute(1.8-4k)>Sonic Blade(1.8-3k* x .8 = 1440)(1800-1440 ~ 2400* = 360~ 600*) >Spike Dart(350** x 6=2.1k* x .6 = 1260)(2100-1260 = 840*) >Throwing Knife(300-550* x .4 = 120 ~ 220*)(300 ~ 550 - 120 ~ 220 = 180 ~ 330*)>Poison Dagger(300-550* x .3 = 90 ~ 165)(300 ~ 550* - 90 ~ 165 = 210 ~ 385* + DOT)
* = Critical Calculation
** = Estimated Critical due to Astute

Total Damage:
Low End- 3.4k
High End- 6.2k

These calculations are estimates, of course. So give or take. And I did not factor in proration at all. While hitting for 3.4 ~ 6.2k on combos isn't the best, These combos are quick.... and meant for rapid fire.

Im not encouraging you to use this combo, or follow my build, Only shoing you how I am doing my character, and what combo I will be using. Its for informative purposes only. <3

EDIT: I butchered this Formula v.v The P. Dagger Damage is -40% instead of -30%. And the Spike Dart Damage is -10%. The totals would be Higher. Probably much higher.

 

So mix Luk and Dex? What stats you recommend?

 

I had this in mind after I deleted my dagger, but I was thinking, if I was using dagger, might as well make use of its range, so I had a set of 2 combos:

Mp saver (100mp)
Spike dart > Impact (save)> Tempest (smite) > Poison dagger (poison damage is based on DEX, not affected by Consec)

Damage combo (400mp)
Impact > Tempest (smite) > poison dagger

You can fully attack from range, and keep poison up.

 

3 DEX 1 LUK may not be bad, I went full STR to boost dagger damage, but Gating knife was still disappointing.

But thinking now, couldn't I do a smaller MP combo and make the damaging combo:
Astute> Impact(save)> Tempest(Smite)> Poison Dart?

 

You totally can. astute will force you to be close range though ^^

 

Hmm, well is it possible I could use sneak attack in place of Poison and use Poison in MP saver?

I have no idea of Poison proc rate and how long it last, the build came to mind after I deleted the character. As long as you have no problem keeping poison up, it should be fine.

The poison damage is now weak, hope they will tweak it in future.

 

My opinion: gatKnife is a suicide skill. Just like Rampage.

I may alter my combo to see if damage changes for the better
Hopefully with Full DEX, DOT damage is nice

 

it does matter a lot!
it doesn't add up with your main weapon, but its used for ALL dagger related actions.
Throwing Knive and Hidden Arm calculate damage completely different to all other attacks. dagger atk has a huge effect here.

if you want to use poison, you need DEX.
AGI is good for Hidden Arm (more attacks=more hits).
the rest is based on attack, so for a sword use STR and DEX.

 

Does str affect dagger DMG differently than dex???

 

I'm guessing it raises CRT rate and Damage like it does for everything else
